Captain Jack Harkness was bored. It was 5am, and the Hub was deserted. He had thought about setting a Weevil loose in Cardiff, just for something to do. In the end, he gave up. He put on his long coat and headed for the door, grabbing an alien lock picking device on his way out. Much to Jack's annoyance, Ianto had confiscated his key after his last early morning visit. Well, locked doors never stopped me before, Jack thought to himself as he got into the SUV.

He drove towards Ianto's flat, trying to figure out the best way to wake his employee/lover. He parked the sleek black car, then started to climb the staircase to Ianto's flat. As he reached flat 5B, he smiled to himself, anticipating the look of annoyance on Ianto's face when he was rudely awakened. He set the device onto the door, waited to hear the lock click, then silently entered the flat.

He headed straight for the bedroom, knowing he would find a sleeping Welshman. He peeped around the door, gazing at the man-shaped lump in the bed. His breathing told Jack he was still asleep, so he quietly made his way to the edge of the bed. He got into bed with the sleeping man, carefully wrapping his arms around his waist, then kissed him softly on the cheek. The man stirred and turned over to face Jack. He looked at him for a moment, then started yelling at the top of his voice. "Who the hell are you?!" he screamed, jumping from the bed and picking up a baseball bat from under it. He shouted colourfully at Jack, chasing him out of the flat, baseball bat raised above his head with rage. After throwing the Captain violently through the front door, the man returned to his flat, confused and disgusted after finding a strange man in his bed.

Upon hearing the noise, Ianto Jones had opened the door of Flat 5C, gun hidden beneath his dressing gown, to find out what had caused all the commotion. He was surprised to find a bruised and bloody Jack sitting outside on the landing, looking rather sorry for himself. Jack looked up, "Got the wrong flat" he muttered, irritated by Ianto's poor attempt at hiding his laughter. Ianto held out a hand to help him up. "Serves you right for visiting at 5am!" he grinned at the scowling American. Jack cursed under his breath, then followed Ianto into his flat. He had to see the funny side though, he supposed, grinning slightly as he grabbed Ianto's hand and dragged him towards the bedroom....
