Disclaimer: I DO NOT OWN ANYTHING IN THE VAMPIRE ACADEMY SERIES. IT ALL BELONGS TO RICHELLE MEAD.
Ok so this is my first fanfic and I appreciate all the reviews I get. I don't mind if you criticize it. I'd like to know what I should work on and what is good. This chapter is short because I'm just starting. I have to figure out where this will lead to in future chapters. Tell me if you are interested and if I shold keep the story going, because if no one is going to read it I won't continue it. The next chapter should be longer. Though I can't guarantee when it will be up. Thank you! I hope you enjoy it!
The day was finally here. After all the training, classes, and detentions, I finally made it. Not that graduation got me off the hook or anything. Actually I had more work ahead of me now than I ever had at the Academy. In just a few minutes I would receive my promise mark and officially become Lissa's guardian, along with Dimitri.
They had just finished the promise mark on Teresa Harth. Now it was my turn.
"Rose Hathaway," they announced.
I stepped forward, and sat down on the stool. I closed my eyes while the adrenaline rushed through my body as the needle injected the permanent ink into my skin. I felt every pair of eyes in the room watching me. I felt every movement the needle made against my skin, it was almost as if I were drawing the mark myself. All I wanted was for it to be over so that I could assume my position as an official guardian.
Many thoughts consumed my head while the pen moved against my skin. Would we stay at the Academy after I became Lissa's guardian, or would Lissa want to go somewhere else? Would Christian Ozera, Lissa's boyfriend, come with us? What would Dimitri want?
Just then the needle stopped. I opened my eyes to find a mirror positioned in front of me so I could view my promise mark. It was better than I had expected, the lines cut through each other zig-zagging, curving, and gliding along the fair skin of my neck.
I looked up out into the crowd of people watching as smiles lit up their faces. But there were only three people I wanted to see, and they were sitting right in front of me. There they were, Lissa, Dimitri, and my mother, smiles lighting up their faces as they watched me.
It was finally here. The moment I had been waiting for since I was a little girl. I was finally an official guardian.
Tell me what you think please!
