AN: This is another preview, however, I am currently working on this story and it may be updated relatively sooner rather than later.

*Crystal's POV*

So. Ruby and three year old Brendan's dorm room is right next to mine. It sounds like one of their roommates asked Ruby why he dresses in all black clothing. I can already hear Ruby yelling never to ask about his past again, while Brendan's begging Ruby to calm down in that innocent little voice of his. I sighed silently. It was going to be a long day. Ruby and I had reacted differently to our losses. When Sapphire died, Ruby changed drastically. The only emotions he showed towards anyone other than Brendan, their son, were anger and hatred. When he was alone with Brendan, or so he thought, he would show a softer side, and often absentmindedly rub the sleeping boy's back, whispering about how similar the toddler was to Sapphire. As for me, when Gold was killed, I lost the will to speak. Eventually, after a few months of not speaking a single word, I simply forgot how, and Blue had to take me to a sign language tutor. Not the best moment of my life. Then the door opened and petite blonde girl walked in.

"Um, excuse me, but is this dorm room 409?" she asked nervously. I turned towards her and signed 'YES' deciding that she should know that I was mute. Clearly she could understand sign language, as she smiled slightly and told me her name was Lillie.

'ARGUMENT. ROOM. 4. 1. 0.' I signed to her, nodding to my left. Her face grew worried.

"That Sun's room!" Lillie said, and turned to leave. "I had better go make sure he isn't making a bad impression on the neighbors." I caught her arm.

'CAREFUL. RUBY. ANGER.'

"Oh, is one of the neighbors' names Ruby?" I nodded at her, then walked towards the door.
