Hail the Horse
Well, this is a little one-shot thing I wanted to do with the animals taking over XD Sorry; I just needed to write this.

"It's finally happened. The animals took over." Tobe breathed as he walked past the castle gates to the palace of Tortall.
Two sturdy warhorses stood guard on each side of the gate. One eyed Tobe, as if considering biting him, but thought better of it and averted his gaze to strait ahead as it was before.
Tobe shook his head. Other horses lounged around, cropping the grass in the Royal Gardens, and Courtyards. Tobe slowly followed the brick road up to the castle steps. There he politely asked two mares where he could find Peachblossom. A coppered mare snorted indignantly and shook her mane, while the other one whinnied and directed him towards Raoul's rooms.
Tobe was curious as he began to stroll down the halls of the palace. There seemed to have been a minor tornado in the halls. Strange clopping seemed to echo in Tobe's head, until her realized that he was not imagining it. It was the echo of steel horseshoes slapping the marble floors. Tobe blinked and shook his head, but he'd arrived at Raoul's chambers.
Cautiously, he pushed open the door. Sure enough, Peachblossom munched contently on some hay that had been placed in Raoul's rooms.
"What's going on here?" Tobe demanded, feeling cross at his lack of understanding.
'We took over.' Peachblossom replied, obviously uninterested. 'Two-leggers were doing a bad job, we decided to take over. I'm the new Captain of the Stallion's Own.' Peachblossom added, swelling with pride. 'Come, I will show you what we've done so far.'
Peachblossom trotted over and paused beside Tobe, he knelt a bit so the small blonde boy could scramble clumsily onto his bareback. Tobe clung to Peachblossom's mane as the horse began down the halls.
Tobe looked at the horses all around the palace, the seemed to be creating glowing balls, like they'd captured light. Some balls hung from the ceiling. Tobe inquired about them.
'They are light bulbs.' Peachblossom replied smugly. 'We thought them up,and we figured outwe can make them glow by using electricity. We had other creatures create them. Most of the People cannot make them, but Monkeys and Lizards can.' Peachblossom explained to the awed boy.
"What else is there?"
'We also created a tubing filtrations. It is used to dispose of waste. You simply push a lever and the waste is gone. Plumbing. Indoor plumbing.'
Tobe snorted in disbelief. "Nu-uh!"
Peachblossom just snorted in reply.
Something rustled behind Tobe and Peachblossom, the large gelding wheeled around.

Tobe's eyes popped open as he heard his lady's rustle of cloth, alerting him to her waking. Tobe quietly slid from his pallet and sat up. His lady smiled sleepily and yawned before she stretched and began her glaive practice.
Tobe chuckled as he remembered his dream. Light bulbs? Indoor Plumbing? Pfft. Yeah right.
