Our first kiss? Hungry and furious, fuelled by an alien virus. The feel of her mouth against mine. The feel of her lithe body pressed to me. I had almost been overwhelmed, even then.
Much time has passed between that brief instant and this one. We have both changed. Grown apart and together in different ways. Lust has been replaced with love.
Our last kiss was my lips capturing her final breath. An affirmation that I had still cared. Even surrounded by the sounds of battle, we found a brief moment to live. I will never feel those lips again.
