He's alone, standing in the rain with his face upturned, blonde hair wet and swaying in the soft breeze. There is no thunder or lightning, just the soft pitter-pat of something not quite fully rain, but not really a drizzle landing on the sidewalk.
Blinking slowly to clear the water from his eyes, he continues to stare at the dreary gray that hangs over his head, all thoughts of anything banished from his mind as he stands completely still and lets everything slip away with the rainwater that drips from his hair and his face.
The rain slows to a light drizzle, and, as if woken from a dream, he blinks rapidly and shakes his head slightly, turning quietly and beginning to walk with a leisurely pace to nowhere.
Then he isn't alone, the slap-slap of feet hitting the wet pavement behind him causing him to turn his head, bright blue eyes focusing on an approaching being. The newcomer has a smile on his features and a question in his eyes, a query that isn't answered by the blonde one.
Instead, the newcomer gets a brief nod of acknowledgement and a tiny smile, as the blonde one reaches out a hand.
"Axel, I thought you hated rain." The statement is little more than a whisper as the blonde one gently takes Axel's hand and glances up at his face.
"I do, but I couldn't let you be alone, right Roxas?"
A small laugh bursts through Roxas's lips as he moves forward so he is standing directly in front of Axel, leaning forward to wrap his arms around the redhead.
No words are required; Axel simply returns the embrace and stands with Roxas in the rain, resting his chin on the blonde's head.
You don't have to leave me a review, I don't really deserve any for something so… I dunno, rushed? Terrible? Whatever. Hope you enjoyed it.
