Erica went to school like any other day. That's how it looked on the outside anyways. But she knew her life was changed forever...
2 weeks earlier
'I know I can't wait!' Erica exclaimed excitedly on the phone, 'Anyways, I gotta go, see you later.'
Erica hung up the phone and wen down stairs into the living room where her dad, Chandler was watching TV.
'What's up Eri?' Chandler asked.
'Well...there's a party happening at the start of spring break and I was wondering if I could go', Erica asked looking at her dad pleasingly. She knew it was a better idea to ask him than her mom because he was easier to convince.
Chandler looked thoughtfully at his daughter then said, 'Well I don't really have an issue with it, but you'll need to ask your mom because you know how she feels about this kind of thing' he said hugging her.
Erica rolled her eyes and groaned as she stormed off to her room. Knowing that it was gonna be really hard to get her mom to agree.
Later on, after dinner Monica was changing her bed sheets as Erica walked through to her room. 'Mommmmmmm', she asked. 'What do you want now?', Monica replied smiling. 'I was wondering if I could go to a little party next Friday after school finishes', Erica replied looking at her mom pleadingly. 'Who's party is it?', Monica asked sitting down on her bed. 'Just this guy...', Erica mumbled. 'What guy?', Monica asked, her eyes widening. 'Ryan Manson, you won't know him', Erica said. 'Actually I do, he used to go to Jack's soccer, there's no way you're going. He's a senior. They'll probably be drinking and I bet his parents won't be there, will they?', Monica said sighing. 'Well no, but I'm fifteen now mom! I'm not a baby anymore, even dad trusts me. He said I could go.', Erica replied annoyed. 'No I never!', Chandler shouted up the stairs, 'I said you had to speak to your mom.' 'Ughhhh, please mom. I promise I'll behave.' 'Sorry, honey. It's not that I don't trust you it's just that-' Monica said rubbing her daughters shoulder as Erica cut her off. 'This is so unfair! Why do you hate me, and want me to be bored. You're the worst mom ever!!', Erica shouted and stormed off slamming the door behind her. Monica sighed and knew there was no point trying to talk to her right now as she was in a mood.
Later on, Monica knocked on Erica's door and slowly opened it and peeked in. 'Night, Erica', Monica whispered. 'Go away!', Erica moaned. Monica climbed into her bed sighing. 'Hey, you ok?', Chandler asked. 'Yeah, I just wish she wouldn't hate me', Monica said as she cuddled into him. 'She doesn't hate you honey, she's just annoyed. But why do you not want her to go, I think she should be allowed.', Chandler asked. 'Chandler, I need to tell you something, something that hardly anybody knows about me', Monica said with tears forming in her eyes. 'You can tell me anything', Chandler said putting his arm round her and pulling her in tight. 'Well, when I was younger, around Erica and Jacks' age I went to a few parties. One time, I got really drunk. And I ended up having sex.', Monica said, 'A few weeks later, I found out that I was pregnant. I was so scared and I didn't tell anyone. My mum found the pregnancy test in the trash and my parents made me get an abortion', Monica said tears rolling down her face. 'It's not your fault', Chandler said comforting her, 'You were young and didn't know what to do, I understand.' 'But that's the thing, I didn't want the abortion. I wanted the baby. After that I wasn't allowed to speak to any guys and parents have always been disappointed in me', Monica said sobbing into Chandler's chest. Chandler didn't reply, he just cuddled her in close and kissed her head soothingly. 'I love you so much', Monica said. 'I love you too baby', Chandler replied.
