Arc was never a brave individual. He never took chances, and he never did like to venture out alone. He preferred to be with others.
So, it was no surprise that he found himself traveling with Luneth.
He did try to make it on his own. He really did. But the moment Luneth came to find him in Kazus Town, he lost all will to walk alone.
The brunette shuddered slightly in the night air. The two had set up camp, and the sky was particularly cloudy. The wind was particularly eerie, as well. Drawing his legs closer to his body to preserve the warmth he had with his clothes and the thin blanket surrounding him, Arc squeezed his eyes shut. He wouldn't let this faze him. He had been able to survive several nights on his own, and this one was no different.
There just happened to be... a tempting source of comfort... on the other side of the dying campfire.
Yep, no big. Arc tentatively let his eyes relax, listening to the small crackle of the flames.
It starting drizzling.
Now shivering, Arc drew the blanket tighter around his form, feeling the water seep through. Well, he definitely didn't have to put up with this while he was alone. But it was okay. He'd manage, despite the inviting warmth just several feet away.
When a crack of thunder resounded through the night, Arc lost all initiative to tough it out, and proceeded to scurry over to Luneth's sleeping figure and huddle up against him. He sighed in relief as he felt a comforting arm wrap around his damp body.
"Just for tonight," Arc murmured sleepily, burying his face in the other boy's chest. Luneth cracked an eye halfway open, bringing his lips to Arc's forehead.
"Didn't you say that last night, too?"
