This is a random little fic about a personal experience…
Please be kind lol.
Characters, you ask? Well it can be whoever you want it to be. I was leaning towards Ginny/Draco, but that's not necessarily who it has to be… (But I'll list it as that anyways).
Note: This has nothing to do with my other Ginny/Draco fic, just like none of my fics have anything to do with each other…
Right well that was a complete waste of you time so may I now present to you...
The lies we tell:
She stands, uncomprehending, under the stinging spray of the shower. She's been there for awhile, but time means nothing. Her skin has been scalded red by the merciless water, but she does not notice. Her eyes are blank as she gazes vacantly at the water disappearing down the drain. All that time one word resounds over and over in her head, and from it she cannot seem escape…
Why why why why why why why why why why why….
A distant noise startles her, and she comes immediately out of her trance. She steps from the shower, dries and dresses and races back up to the castle. She's alert once more, but she's not sure if that's a good thing.
"I don't know how to say this…"
She makes her way hazily, from Potions to Charms. Two of her friends are with her, chattering enthusiastically with each other, and she pretends to follow along with what they're saying, but really, she doesn't hear a word.
And then, just as they're rounding the corner of the 2nd floor corridor, she sees it. Him … and some blond haired girl she's sure is a Ravenclaw 6th year.
She freezes into place, and simply stares in shock at the sight. He glances up then, and his gaze instantly lands on her, standing there, staring at him, eyes wide in disbelief. He blinks in surprise, as her friends try to pull her away. But she can't move…
Oh my GodOh my GodOh my GodOh my God Oh my God…
She turns abruptly and lets her friends propel her along the corridor. She doesn't reply when they ask her if she's alright. She doesn't respond to their desperate hugs. She's plunged into apathy again.
"I don't want to hurt you…"
She stamps irritably along the bank of the lake. She's angry now; all traces of sadness, regret and indifference are gone. She's fuelled by her rage, and she's not hurt at all… she's completely over him At least that's what she tells herself, when she wakes up in the morning. That's the mask she puts on whenever she runs into him and her. That's the lie she tells everyone, day in day out, but…
No…
She feels foolish, sometimes. Like she's stupid to still love him, after a year… but no matter how hard she tries, she knows she'll never get over this. She had loved him. Whether she still did, she did not know. She never let herself think about that… but deep inside she knows what the answer is…
"I'm sorry…I didn't want it to be this way…"
It's ironic she thinks, that he's a liar too… he knew exactly what to say, and he knew exactly how to say it and it turned out exactly the way he wanted it to.
He wasn't sorry at all.
And that's what she'll never forget… the truth behind the lies he told.
Heya, hope you enjoyed. Please review!
