Chapter 1: Sorting
The line of nervous first years twitched as they waited for the moment to come.
Except for one. The child stood still, it's head held high, as if it had been there many years.
The child had to wait a bit before it's name was called.
"Harry Potter!" Professor McGonagall called.
The entire hall watched as the confident child made it's way up to the Sorting Hat.
Wandless, the child amplified it's voice, to the surprise of everone around it.
"By the way," The child whispered conspiratoritally. loud enough for everyone to hear it with the amplified voice, "I'm not Harry Potter; Everyone just thinks I am. Really, I am Alexandra Lily Snape."
Much to everyone's surprise and amusement, Severus Snape toppled over in his chair.
Ignoring him, Alexa, as she preferred to be called, just stood there. Moments later, the shoulder length black hair ripple down her back. The green eyes turned a deep, onyx black. Her tan skin paled, and she shot up in height, to that of a sixth year, nearly. She towered over the first years cowering around her.
At the shocked look in the Headmaster's eyes.
"But-but," he stuttered, "How?"
"Harry Potter died that night. I, a four year old, under a Deaging potion, was put in his place. But after you tried to leave me at the Dursleys, my parents took me back home. Over there,"-she pointed to Severus-"is my brother, Severus Lucifer Snape. He is older by about fifteen years, and he had no idea I existed. I took the deaging potion that night, at my parents' request, but I took the antidote. I put a glamour on so that I would look less like a Snape."
She smirked right as she finished, "And I was homeschooled for the first four years I was at Hogwarts."
With that, and a proud look from her brother, she put the hat on her head.
Ah, Miss Snape, she heard the hat say in her mind, I have been waiting for this moment for years. But yes, yes you are very hard... Ravenclaw or Slytherin? Ravenclaw or Slytherin?
Ravenlaw, Alexa said.
And so I will. RAVENCLAW!
The hat shouted the last part, and the young woman strode over to her new house, eagerly.
The years around her chattered as she sat down.
With a bang, the doors were slammed open. In walked the courageous young Quirrell, much to Alexa's displeasure.
"You!" She hissed, "Go away! Dark magic consumes you!"
He stared at her defiantly.
"He is mine!" Quirrell hissed back, "Severus Snape is mine! You must not touch him!"
Severus death glared at the standing young man.
"I belong to no one!" He shouted.
"Dark magic, I command you," The voice of Alexa hissed in Parseltongue. "Stay away from my brother! He is mine. I protect him. I command you, leave this man now! Die, Quirrell, you traitor! Die! Tom Riddle, may your soul be banished!"
The magic listened, and left Hogwarts, once and for all. Severus Snape writhed on the ground in pain for only a few seconds, then staring in awe at his bare left arm. From all over the countryside, screams could be heard, the screams of suffering servants.
The worst two resided beneath Hogwart's walls. One was that of Quirrell, whose skin blistered and burned, dying a slow and very painful death. The second was that of the anguished soul of the deceased Tom Riddle Jr., banished from Hogwarts, and earth, for all eternity.
"There," Alexa said with a grim smile, "Now, shall we eat?"
Coming out of their shock, the sorting was completed, the Opening speech said, and the food was set out.
After all, who can resist the wonderful food of the Hogwarts house elves?
