Charm of sweets
Prologue
50 years ago, there was a huge fight between Light silver amour soldiers and Darkness Black amour soldiers. It had be a conflict that had been going on for years and was finally coming to an end.
A girl called Teri with long, wavy brown hair and brown eyes wearing a sliver knight's amour like the rest of the Lights, saw it all. She saw the Light and Dark soldiers' swords clash which made a beam of light strike the clouds in the sky. But what none of them realised was that the clash of light and Dark swords created a powerful object. 'The charm bracelet of sweets'.
Teri had found it laying on the sandy ground after the battle had long ended and the Lights had won.
It had a cherry, coke bottle, heart, egg, rainbow belt and gummy bear charms on it. She placed it around her wrist and used her shinny sword to open a dimensional portal to go home.
When she arrived home in her forest den, a group of light soldiers come to her home and her family began to panic. 'Teri Snowbell, you're coming with us' they said.
So she followed them in to an icy-blue-sliver courthouse. It had the usual jury box on the left with the audience on the far right and the judge wearing a white wig in front.
'You claim to have found an item, yes?' The judge asked.
'Yes' Teri replied.
'And do you know what that thing is?'
"It's a bracelet, 'my lord'" She replied, swiftly.
'Right. Teri, is it? That Bracelet is more powerful than it seems so we'll have to investigate and lock it away' the judge explained.
'The jury have reached a verdict: Lock away the bracelet for safety' One of the smartly dressed men in a grey suit announced.
Then Teri placed the bracelet in the box and left.
Unknown to her or anyone else, someone in a golden ninja suit found the box and snatched the bracelet. Then the bracelet shot a beam of light pink light into the sky causing the clouds to rumble thunder.
The Light police force tracked the thief down and cornered him. The thief gave in and returned the bracelet. Or so they thought because as they tried to hand-cuff the thief, he smiled which was also expressed through his eyes since his mouth was covered and vanished in a wisp of smoke.
Teri had a nightmare that an angry technology monster was after her. Its glowing red eyes stayed locked-on to her every movement. Just then she stopped at the edge of a cliff. She looked back; the monster was still marching towards her. She looked down; the river below looked as small as an ant.
Then she jumped.
She woke and shook violently.
'The bracelet Teri Snowbell turned in today was stole by a mysterious ninja guy but the police who tailed him got it back in one piece…' The TV reporter droned.
Teri sighed with relief.
'Not gone' she thought. 'Not gone'
It should have been the end of a conflict but it had only just begun….
