Black and Blue

Poem by: hplvr

Black and Blue, Black and Blue,

Everything is Black and Blue.

From dark sea's storm to shades of the sky,

Everything is Black and Blue.

When Ed sits there, along the stair,

Everything is Black and Blue.

And when he reaches to stroke Al's hair,

Everything is Black and Blue.

When they kiss, with eyes shut tight,

Everything is Black and Blue.

And when they touch each other's cheeks,

Everything is Black and Blue.

When they go home, with hands clasped taut,

Everything is Black and Blue.

And when they face their parents strife,

Everything is Black and Blue.

When they turn to a vivid sleep,

Everything is Black and Blue.

And while they dream of tomorrow and future,

Everything is Black and Blue.

When they awake to the sun's bright welcome,

Everything is Black and Blue.

And when they prepare for the upcoming day,

Everything is Black and Blue.

While their parents plunder them with insults,

Everything is Black and Blue.

And when they fall, after a slap on the face,

Everything is Black and Blue.

When they receive looks from their neighbours,

Everything is Black and Blue.

And as they stare at their colourful bruises,

Everything is Black and Blue.

But they are unknown to their true life,

Where everything is Black and Blue.

The life where Ed and Al know nothing,

And Everything is Black and Blue.

While their parents beat them senseless,

Everything is Black and Blue.

And when they are left windless on the floor,

Everything is Black and Blue.

But they don't care, for nothing can end

Their relationship, friendship, and love forever.

When the storm ends, and the calm returns

The colours fade from Black to Blue.

Releasing a tear, and a hop to their feet,

They come together and kiss once more,

Before they retire to chambers,

Where everything is Black and Blue.

Black and Blue, Black and Blue,

Everything is Black and Blue.

From dark sea's storm to shades of the sky,

Everything is Black and Blue
