Author's Note: This is just a short story I wrote. I use a lot of abstract writing so it can be confusing if
you don't pay attention. (Sudden scene changes, abstract descriptions, etc..) If anyone is confused about anything that happens please leave it in a review or PM me and I'll be more than happy to answer them! Thank you for reading! :)

Breathe in, Breathe out
Breathe in, breathe out.
The cacophony of light and colors played behind his closed eyelids. Reaching for it so slowly, slowly in time.
Breathe in, Breathe out.
Coldness, hotness. The cruel pull of time. Pulled him. Further down. Further down.
Breathe in, Breathe out.
A metallic taste. A agony the settled into his bones. The darkness that cast shadows in his mind. Was this where he fell?
Breathe in, Breathe out.
Gentle hands caressed his cheek. The smell of freshly baked scones. Warmth. Love. Laughter. It melted away like hot candle wax. Drip, drip, dripping until nothing was left.
Breathe in, Breathe out.
Warm smiles and melted ice cream. Was that him? Why was he crying? The beautiful blue sky was looking at him behind wire frame glasses. How could the sky fit there? The summer sun was cruel to them but they didn't seem to care. Why was he crying?
Breathe in, Breathe out.
He was back to the pain. The pull of hot and cold and wires. He wanted to scream. Why couldn't he scream? Why couldn't he open his eyes? Was this his end? Cast in shadows made of nightmares?
Breathe in, Breathe out.
"We will reach the stars, Arthur…" a distant voice from long ago spoke to him. The voice. No. More than that. His everything, looked up toward the sky in amazement. He reached his fingers out desperately as if he could grab the sky and pull it down to them. Silly boy, He thought, you already have the sky in your eyes. Their gazes met. Arthur could see the stars.
Breathe in, Breathe out.
Couldn't those stars, that sky, reach him now? Couldn't it cast away the darkness that overwhelmed him so? Was there a voice now? A shout? The world was dark. There was warmth and cold all around him.
Breathe in, Breathe out.
"He's not going to make it.." a soft voice reached his ears. Not make it where? Arthur thought. Was he late for something?
Breathe in, Breathe out.
"Arthur.." Alfred. "I.. I love you so much.." a soft song reached Arthur's ears. "But I have to go now.. and we won't be able to see each other for a long time.. you have to go away.." What about reaching the stars together, Alfred? I can't leave! Not now! "Arthur… you'll have to go to the stars on your own.. I'll be there soon okay? I'll be there.." He couldn't reach the stars on his own. He was scared.
Breathe in, Breathe out.
Everything was gone.
