A/N: Hello, lovely readers.

I published the first chapter a while ago which was a guess the characters thingy, but upon receiving no feedback, I decided to rewrite everything.

The basic plot hasn't really changed much, but the entire intro will be different.

So, enjoy.

Disclaimer: The awesome world (un)fortunately does not belong to me. It belongs to Himaruya-sensei *secretly plots world domination*

Vash Zwingli nibbled on a corner of a chocolate bar, as he laid down his second-to-last card. "Uno." His legs were getting numb from being in the same position for so long.

The lamp flickered, casting shadows across his two friends' faces and the random cleaning utensils around the cramped closet.

Wellesley Green glanced at him tiredly and stifled a yawn, looking at his rather large collection of cards. He selected a red five and laid his chin on his legs once again.

The third and last player, Louis Jansen, smirked. A plus four was placed on top of the red five.

Vash glanced at Wellesley, who flopped against a broom, then his digital watch that now read 2:04 AM.

"There's school tomorrow," He sighed.

"Exactly, Vassy." Louis' only visible green eye glinted. "Now collect four."

Im Yong Soo groaned as his blanket was ripped off him, causing the frigid morning air to engulf him.

"Get up, lazy ass!" Natalya Arlovskaya screamed at him. "Everyone else is already awake, like usual." She gestured around the small room, empty except the two of them and a few bunk beds. It was a standard Adolescent Home for war orphans, the one of many scattered around the country after the war.

Natalya stood on a nightstand and leaned over Yong Soo, who was on a top bunk. "Do you want to be late for school?!"

The Korean rolled over. "Tally, nine minutes before the bell isn't late…"

The platinum blonde began to radiate a murderous aura, which would've worked on almost anyone besides Yong Soo before pulling out a small black device and pressing the largest button on it.

Yong soo immediately cried, "Noooo! Not the J-Pop!", and proceeded to bolt out of bed.

Natalya would've smirked in victory if she didn't have to do this every single morning.

Lukas Bondevik struggled to ignore the loud chattering around him as he turned the page of the book he was reading, Animal Farm.

You'd think that with four study rooms and two libraries, at least one of them at Elmer Creek Secondary would be quiet during the lunch period.

There was one particularly noisy Italian with a strange curl, who was cursing loudly at another student even though another seemingly invisible student was attempting to calm him.

Lukas tucked a strand of hair that escaped his hairclip behind his ear and sighed at the rowdiness.

As if on cue, a thick green book flew past his head, its pages fluttering as if sending a SOS signal.

Lukas agreed with the poor book.

Aaaaaaand that's the first chapter!

Animal Farm is a book by George Orwell with symbolism about dictatorship and governments.

Elmer Creek is just a random name, it has nothing to do with the plot whatsoever besides the fact that it's the school that certain beings are attending. *tries to wink*
