It was Clara's idea. Clara's ideas were always good, right?

Well, not exactly.

She had asked me to go to the most lonely place in the universe. But I knew it would be beyond impossible to go there. But, with a lot of nagging I ended up taking her to somewhere next to impossible. She wouldn't have known that it was destroyed a long time ago. Just rust, sheet metal and the smell of dust floating around. No, really, the gravity wasn't really anything like Earth's. I didn't know there were people living on it, turns out they were recent survivors of the Meteor shower we'd just missed. Beyond impossible was what she requested.. not as much as she got. I do my best.

They told us of how it was making the ground shake, losing some friends along the way but never giving up hope that they'd get through it. There were wars a long time ago here - and these people.. they weren't really.. people, anymore. Just surviving from where they had ran from. Though they were interesting, and had a few stories to tell, they never spoke of their names. Not one. It was as if they were avoiding the truth of themselves.

Reminds me of someone.

We had to leave, as we were warned of another storm approaching. I couldn't interfere with what was about to happen, though Clara thought I was being inhumane (how does that even work? Not one of us was human) by leaving them there. Timelines, I'm going to have to talk them out with her sometime, but she was just settling down afterwards and I don't talk to humans when they're having an emotion, that was Rory's job.

During our stay at the edge of Clara's universe, we heard stories of how they managed to escape the clutches of their planet's security, how the flares spreading through people were destroying them one at a time. "Whatever it was, we did not bring it with us. We were not caught, the gates will hold them until they haven't a choice but to give up. My people.. the relationships made throughout centuries destroyed in a matter of moments. Everybody, everything was in flames. Nothing left, nothing but stone at least. We all met by the corner of the planet, we have escape ships for events like these. They are not usual, but we must be prepared, and we were warned. One ship left, we could only come to one conclusion. If we were to survive, we must go together. Our resources put together was enough to live, and we've come to salvage here until our home is safe once more. And then we must rebuild." Was what they told us.

Clara was eager to learn more, but if I had let us stay, we might've just ended up like them. Clara asked for a beyond impossible adventure, right?

I hadn't even started yet.
