"This is such a stupid idea. I can't believe they think that getting married now is the best option. There still in high school! This is foolish even for them but for some stupid reason they seem to think it's a good idea to go through with it!" Kurt said as he paced around Blaine's bedroom unable to sit still.

Blaine hummed absent mindedly from his spot on the bed as he watched Kurt pace . "I thought you said you were happy for them?" Blaine asked causing Kurt to turn around and look at him.

"I am, I am. I'm happy that they've found each other and everything and I love the fact that they want to get married but why does it have to be now? I just don't understand why they seem to want to do it now. They have their whole lives ahead of them and they're just rushing into it." Giving a groan, Kurt sank down onto the bed next to his boyfriend, who reached out and entwined their hands.

"I just think that it's unfair that they can do this, rush into this and get married when neither of them are clearly ready for it, but we…" Kurt stopped abruptly, cheeks flaring red as he realised what he was saying.

"Not that we.. I mean, I'm not saying that we're going to.. you might not want to.. I.." Blaine gave a chuckle before pulling Kurt in for a soft kiss and cutting him off.

"You're angry that they can make this decision when we can't, even if we wanted to." Blaine said as he pulled back resting their foreheads together.

Shyly Kurt dropped his eyes before nodding. "When Rachel told me, she asked me what I would do if you were to propose to me right now?" Kurt confessed, heat blossoming on his face as he glanced at Blaine before looking away again.

Leaning in Blaine pressed in for another kiss, this one deeper than the last. Pulling back, Blaine whispered against Kurt's lips, both of their eyes still closed. "Will you marry me?"

Kurt's eyes fluttered open at the question. "Blaine-"

"I know that we can't," Blaine said as he reached forward to cup Kurt's jaw, "I know that the marriage laws in Ohio prevent it but if they didn't. If they were different and marriage equality was accepted here then would you?" Blaine voice dropped down to a whisper.

"Would you marry me Kurt?"

Kurt's gaze locked with Blaine's. He was being serious. Blaine was seriously asking if he would marry him, if he could. If they had the choice would they make the same decision that Finn and Rachel were.

A smile began to bloom slowly on Kurt's face. "Yes, yes I would marry you." Leaning in, Kurt pecked Blaine on the lips. "But not while we're in high school. We're not doing a Finn and Rachel."

Grinning back at him Blaine simply replied with "I can wait." before pulling the other boy back in for a proper kiss.

"I'm looking forward to marriage equality in all fifty states."

Across the circle, Kurt felt a small smile light up his face at Blaine's answer.

One day.
