It was another beautiful spring day at Hogwarts. The boys were off causing unknown mischief while Hermione sat under a tree studying. Ginny trotted across the grounds to find her best friend at their usual hideout by the lake.
"Hey there." Ginny said playfully as she approached.
Hermione's mouth grew into a broad smile at the sound of the Ginny's voice. When she finished the paragraph she was reading, she was finally able to tear herself away from the book to look at the younger witch. "No quidditch practice today?" She asked.
"Would you rather I go harass someone else?"
"Never." Hermione said plainly as she scanned the rest of the page and leafed through the book to the next chapter of interest. Ginny plopped herself on the ground, at first sitting next to Hermione, then shifting to lay down, her head resting on Hermione's knee. Hermione gently brushed Ginyy's hair away from her face and fixed it behind her ear. "I hope you're not looking for entertainment. I have to finish this reading before lunch."
Hermione felt Ginny's chuckle as it shook her body. "I'm tired, if you don't mind I'm just gonna nap while you read."
"Of course." Hermione whispered as she stroked Ginny's hair absently and turned her attention back to her book.
