No Secrets

A poem about the scene in Goliath where the Leviathan is over the Pacific Ocean and the storm hits. Extremely spoiler heavy to the point where I can't say anymore. Kind of late, but I wanted to write something to celebrate the release of Goliath.

A/N: A rambly poem, but I've been meaning to write something since Goliath came out and this is what my muse spat at me.

Barking mad, I am

Look what the world's come to

But some things you can't escape

Can't shut them up inside

Everything I tried to hide

Storms around, storms within

Don't drift away, come back again

Lying there in the pounding rain

Maybe it cleaned out your eyes

You finally see me

…

Rambling like a dummkopf, you are

Just to try to stay awake

You make me promise the truth

There's no more need for lies

And you want to have no secrets

…

Now that's a wee bit tougher

Storms collide again

But I promise as you fall asleep

I do what I never thought I would

Pull your face to mine and kiss you

…

And it's warm there for a moment

I don't want to let go

You awake again

I don't know what you think

But you got what you asked for

…
