Disclaimer: Don't own anything; I'm really just playing in someone else's sandbox for a little while.

Sweden is grateful to England. He is grateful for many things, even though he may never voice this out loud.

Long ago, when he and the others were ruled over by Denmark, England inspired him to break free, to be his own man. England inspired him to reach out and grasp his freedom, his future with his own two hands. It had been a meeting between the countries and Sweden, Finland and Iceland were sitting together with Denmark talking, when England had stormed over towards them, green eyes flashing and body radiating fury and snarling at Denmark who had fled in the face of England's wrath. England who had once been conquered by Denmark. England who had found no taken his freedom and his land back from Denmark. So Sweden began to think, maybe, maybe I can do that too? Maybe I can claim my freedom, just like England. And he does. He even takes Finland with him, because Finland is so very kind and probably won't be able to truly break Denmark's chains and Sweden really doesn't want to leave him behind, especially when Finland makes his heart happy, his soul feel like it can fly and his very being sing. Then many years later, when Sweden and Finland are living together, England gives him something that will complete his family. Sealand. A son. Once again, Sweden is grateful, because England has helped him to fulfil a cherished dream of his. He has his beloved wife and now, a son to raise. They even have a family dog. Sweden is happy. Content. And so very grateful that Fate, and England, has helped him to reach some of his dreams.
