I looked around, and all I smelt was fear, anger, and worst of all death. I was surrounded in blood, but not anyone's blood, but that of the woman I have always loved, Beth Turner. I had always known she was going to die—but to die in my arms? No, I was betrayed by my own kind, as she was supposedly at fault, when it wasn't. There was a list—a list that was given to Talbot, that list was her death. As soon as it had gotten into his possession, that was when she died. I heard her heartbeat Slowly it was declining—the beats getting farther and farther apart. If I didn't do this, she would die—I would die. It was then I made up my mind. Josef, he would be proud of me.

I leaned in, and letting the transformation happen, I leaned in, and bit down, drinking up the rest of her blood, sweet, rare, but most of all her lifeline—my lifeline. I withdrew my fangs, and bit into my arm, allowing the blood to drip down onto her cold lips, as she drank it slowly, she came back to life, her heartbeat racing, and instinctively biting over the now healing wound on my arm, drinking my blood. Turning someone into a vampire, that was not giving life, but taking one, but now I see—I can't hate who I am, cause now—Beth is one.

A/N: song for this chapter is Lucky by Bif Naked. This is the prologue to my new story—We Are the Lucky Ones for the tv show Moonlight. This is my idea for season 2—and I do not own any of this.
