This story is now published in a compilation book of short stories that were finalists in a 2010 competition. It was written and edited by me only, just to keep things clear. And finally, it's in Mitchie's point of view. Hope you enjoy it! Don't forget to review! :)

When I watch him walk towards me with that beautiful smile on his face, I forget the long weeks, or maybe months, that have passed since I last saw him. My heart threatens to burst out of my chest as he gets closer and closer, and I have to blink back the sudden, happy tears that cloud my view of him.

When I feel his strong arms wrap around me, I melt against him with the relief of knowing he's here now, that we're finally together the way we're meant to be.

When I catch the familiar scent of him, memories of the last time I was with him flood my thoughts and I have to fight to keep myself from floating too far into the past.

When I hear him whispering in my ear, I missed you, I love you, I realize that I'd forgotten the sound of his voice and drift with the soothing sound of it.

And when his lips finally find mine, everything inside me seems to swell with the overwhelming feeling of love and I forget completely about the fact that we're in a crowded airport terminal with people all around us. It's just him and me, finally together again after an eternity of being apart, and nothing else, not a single thing else matters.
