Prologue: Frustrations
Taichi sighed as it began to rain. Grumbling a bit, he picked up the soccer ball and headed home. It had started off as a good day, and there hadn't been rain in the forecast.
He'd come out here to work his way through his frustrations, in fact his frustrations centered around a certain blond destined.
'Yamato' he thought, as his wet hair fell over his face, he pushed it away but since it was now pouring it just fell back into place. He ignored the fact his clothing was soaked; his thoughts wee so intent on the destined of friendship.
At sixteen he was ready to finally admit it to himself, he was gay… not flaming gay... that was just weird.
When had he fallen in love with Yamato, it was hard to trace back his feelings. He'd known the blond from elementary school, before even the camp and there first trip to the digital world.
Suddenly rain no longer fell onto him, startled he realized a tanned arm was holding an umbrella over him. Looking to his side he saw a familiar heart shaped face with those amazing sapphire shaded eyes.
"Yamato..." he said startled, his chocolate colored eyes blinking in surprise.
"Hey fearless leader, you seemed a bit lost," Yamato grinned, Taichi hoped he wasn't blushing… was he blushing?
His heart pounded hard in his ears, and idly wondered if the blond god in front of him could hear his wildly beating heart beating just for him.
"Ah… just thinking," Taichi said, getting his body under control. It was silly, to think Yamato could hear his heart like that.
"You have a brain?' Yamato asked teasingly.
"Hey!" Taichi fake protested, the two laughed.
The two walked together under the umbrella, Taichi ignored his hearts wishes to tell Yamato he loved him.
'One day' he thought, one day he'd be brave enough. He might be the first destined of courage, but sometimes courage took awhile to do things.
OoOoO
The day had been interesting to say the last, he's had a good practice with his band and then because of rain he'd run into Taichi.
It had been a gorgeous sight to see the soaking wet Brunette, his messy hair had plastered to his face, his chocolate shaded eyes had drawn him in and he hadn't wanted to look away. His clothing were like a second skin, and my the chosen child of courage had been oh so nicely muscled.
But he'd looked away, he couldn't let Taichi find out how he felt about him.
Would the other teen feel disgust... anger... would he reject him?
Angrily Yamato kicked a can, it was evening now and the rain had let up... but the air held a chill.
He'd gone to the corner store to get food, once again his father had messed up a meal. Mind you he was no better, they really had to get cooking lessons.
"Why.. Why," he said angrily, thankfully he had taken a shortcut through an alley so no ones saw kicking trash.
"Why indeed," a voice said, startled Yamato turned, standing there was a boy a few years younger then himself.
"Who are you?" Yamato asked frowning.
"Your perfect," the stranger said, blue eyes met blue eyes.
Yamato's shopping bag hiy the ground, the sound of breaking glass filled the air.
No one would realize that the blond was missing till hours later.
