"No, Mr. T! I promise I won't be no 'arm to ya business! The judge is dead, why d'ya need ta stick 'round 'ere for?"
Sweeney advanced on her, grinning his murderous grin. He got so much joy from watching her fear him.
"We could go down ta the sea!
By the sea, Mr. Todd, that's the life I covet. By the sea, Mr. Todd, ooh, I know ya'd love it! You and me, Mr. T, we could be alone in a house wot we'd almost own, down by the sea! Wouldn't that be smashing?"
Sweeney pinned her against the wall by her waist, biting hungrily at her earlobe, down her neck... "Anything you say..."
"Think how snug it'll be underneath our flannel when it's just you and me and the English Channel! In our cozy retreat kept all neat and tidy, we'll 'ave chums over ev'ry Friday!"
His lips slammed on hers, cutting off her rant. Moving over to the now lifeless body of Judge Turpin, he laid her down in the pool of blood and took her right there.
She moaned as he roughly pushed his way into her and gripped his shoulders in fierce delight.
Slowly, when he was finished, Sweeney pulled a blade from his trousers lying next to him. Slowly, carefully, meticulously, he sliced a vein in Mrs. Lovette's wrist. Her eyes fluttered open from her light drowse.
"Never you fear, Mr. Todd, we can stay here, Mr. Todd."
He smiled as life slowly drained from her while she was so blissfully ignorant of it.
"Oh, Mr. Todd, you're warm beneath my hand..."
Her eyes dropped closed for their final time.
"Better you should think she was dead, yes I lied because I love you. I'd be twice the wife she was I love you. Could that thing have cared for you like me? Can we still be married?"
He smiled as she took her last breath, he face tipping into the broadened pool of blood.
"I'll see you in Hell, Madam."
