Face and the guys came back to Trish's to see Amy sitting on the porch, waiting for them. Face raced over to her.

"I, ah, kinda thought you wouldn't be back yet..." he said a bit awkwardly, and put an arm around her waist.

Amy tilted her head at him. "Well, the Aaronsons were nice enough to give me a ride back here, rather than leave me on the road." she said, sounding confused. "Were you hoping they would?"

The blonde con-man ran a hand over his face. "No... I just... come with me a second?" he said, walking her towards the backyard.

Trish looked at Murdock. "Those two make a nice couple." she said softly.

"Huh? They ain't a couple..." Murdock scoffed.

"Well, they look at each-other like they oughtta be." Trish smiled.

Meanwhile, in the backyard...

"Amy... are you sure you still wanna do this?"

"Do what?" she frowned.

"Be... a part of the team?' he asked in a hesitant whisper.

Amy looked hurt. "You don't want me around any more?"

"No! That's not it, damnit!" Face huffed.

"Then, what is it, Face? Tell me." she asked gently, stroking his cheek with one delicate hand.

Face lay his hand on top of the one touching his cheek, and sighed. "Ames... I... I was afraid today, okay?"

"You?" she scoffed. "You guys have been in way more danger, tons of times!"

"Deac threatened you." he said harshly.

Amy's eyes popped open.

"I couldn't breathe the whole way here, thinking I couldn't get to you in time, and then... when I got here, and you were scared out of your wits like that... I... I thought maybe he..."

Face looked away, and Amy's face softened, sliding her arms around his neck. Face managed a half smile, nuzzling into the crook of her neck, one arm around her waist, the other hand stroking her long brown hair.

"He didn't get in, I promise." she whispered. "But, Face... look at me, please?"

Face looked up at her.

"Wasn't I in more danger in Jamestown? All you did then was try to teach me to accept death if it comes. Why now does it bother you?"

"I... I don't know..." he admitted. "Just... the thought of him touching you... made me want to tear him apart, limb from limb."

Amy smiled, leaning up to give him a kiss on the cheek, but, Face turned his head at the last second, and their lips met, melding into a hot, passionate kiss...

She pulled back suddenly, and the look on his face was so adorable she almost melted.

"What?" he asked, reaching for her again.

"What about Lianne?" she teased.

"Who's that, now?" he asked huskily, his hands tightening on her hips.

"Your, ah, 'date' tonight?"

"Yeah, I'll have to call her later, tell her I'm busy... " he muttered, pulling Amy back towards him again.

And, this time, she didn't pull away...
