Everything I Ever Wanted
Another pretty predictable, I'm going to put my iPod on shuffle and write about Malec, fanfic.
I don't think it turned out exactly as I hoped, so if you hate it, scroll and I understand.
Please review, even if it's just that you hate me. I love you too.
Picture To Burn – Taylor Swift
He was holding that picture, the only picture he could stand to look at. Alec smiling back at him, beautiful blue eyes like gem stones, burning into Magnus' soul. When did he get so cliché? Oh, that's right, when that dick came into his life and broke his heart. He needed to get out of this rut. No parties, no shopping, no nothing except Alec and deranged thoughts about begging for him back. This was why, sitting on his loveseat (don't think about love, Mag.) he lit those blue eyes on fire. Little did he know you can't burn feelings away quite like you can a picture.
Teenage Dream – Katy Perry
He was stuck in the body of a 19 year old. The boy playing with his records, immersed in names he'd never heard of before, was 18, and only just. Almost jailbait. So, taking in his physical age, he didn't think it was too cheesy to be humming Teenage Dream in his head.
"What's this like?" His lover asked, holding up a mottling Led Zeppelin record.
"Only the best!" He walked over then, and popped it onto his record player, salvaged from the junk of the 60s.
He dragged Alec up by one hand, and started dancing, glitter coming loose and floating off his top. Close enough to Alec to dust him, giving everything a dream-like quality. Yes, this was definitely what he'd been looking for all these years. No just a dream for a day, but a dream for a lifetime (or several).
100 Years – Five for Fighting
There had been so many years left for them, there'd been plenty of time. 18 was not old, no matter what that idiot said. The same idiot that was lying in his arms, an enchantment washing him purple. If only he'd been a little earlier, figured out why Alec wasn't replying to his love texts quicker, he would have told him that. That 100 years is a long time, that there was plenty of time, that he didn't need to do this.
He'd wanted as much time as he could weasel out of the Shadowhunter. Alec had wanted forever. And that was what he got, once the purple had disappeared and the last breaths had ebbed out. Once Magnus' final tears had fallen, they both got forever young.
And even though he teased Alec occasionally, joking about him having looked fantastic with grey hair and how he would outshine Jace on his wedding day, he was secretly pleased that forever would mean something, for once.
Boys Boys Boys – Lady Gaga
Boys boys boys
We like boys in cars
Boys boys boys
Buy us drinks in bars
Boys boys boys
With hairspray and denim
Boys boys boys
We love them
That had been the song playing when he' realized he, Magnus Bane, High Warlock of Brooklyn and who had never had more than some fleeting affairs of the heart, who believed that getting close was a waste of time when most people would die anyway, had fallen in love with Alexander Lightwood. He'd never get a bottle of hairspray near Alec, and denim was apparently the only word in the blue-eyed thief's fashion vocabulary, but Magnus was pretty damn sure he had completely and utterly fallen for Alec. Had his heart stolen off him when he wasn't looking, when neither of them was doing anything more than lying, intertwined, on the sofa. This wasn't some little, I want to be in your company and make out with you on the subway under disapproving eyes love, this was just pure and simple, you are what makes me sane love. And that scared the shit out of him.
