A/N: My return to FanFiction…
Tick, tock
The sound of a clock rang in his ears. He covered them slightly, attempting to lighten the booming sound resounding within him, yet no such luck. His indigo hair flowed freely behind him, yet it seemed...dull. An empty look was plastered on his face, a shadow lining his features. The sleek metal object in his hand was slightly covered by the wool jacket he was wearing.
Tick, tock, tick, tock
"Shut up!" He grumbled slightly. He looked around, seeing no one. He needed to take a deep breath. The voices had been pestering him nonstop for weeks now, and he was beginning to give in. Was he going insane? Possibly.
TICK TOCK TICK TOCK
The sound grew louder and louder, and the urges became even stronger. He winced in pain, clutching his head as he did so.
Kill her.
The sound gradually became higher in bass and pitch. His eyes began to water as he sighed in exasperation, falling to his needs in pain.
DO IT.
He clutched the metal object in his hand once more and stood up. The voice wouldn't go away. It would pester him…slowly take over him until he delved into the madness it so greatly wanted. He couldn't take it; he couldn't fight it anymore. All he had to do was once simple task...right?
KILL HER NOW!
Subconsciously his body moved towards the house of a familiar pinkette. Once he arrived, he put up his façade, and smiled, holding the sleek, shiny object behind his back. Amu opened the door, and smiled sweetly.
"Hey, Nagi!" She began. "Why are you here so late?" Her eyebrows furrowed a bit, catching a glimpse of some emotion within his eyes that she couldn't put her finger on. She shrugged it off, reminding herself that she was not one to read people.
Tick tock
He was on a schedule. If he had any chance of finishing this within his time limit, he'd have to make this quick. Amu let him in, stating that her parents and Ami were out of town.
"Amu-chan," He spoke with venom lacing his words. Amu turned around, slightly worried.
"Don't take this personally, okay?"
Swipe.
Amu's eyes widened, eyes watering. She choked and gurgled for air, blood seeping into her lungs. She gingerly touched the wound across her throat, dumbfounded.
'It was insanity' She thought to herself. She saw it in his eyes, and she ignored it.
"N-Nagihiko…why?" She managed to choke out as she fell to her knees, face becoming pale.
"It's just business." He spoke with a small, insincere smile. Blood pooled around the lifeless body; it brought a small smile to Nagihiko's face. Did he really enjoy the sight? Was this what madness felt like?
It felt good, didn't it?
"Nagi...I'm sorry..." Amu trailed off. Nagihiko furrowed his brows in confusion.
"What do you mean, hun?" He hugged Amu from behind, kissing her on the cheek. She wiggled out of his embrace, looking at him guiltily.
"What's this about, Amu?" He asked, worried about her.
"Ikuto and I...we...hooked up..." Nagihiko's eyes widened. His bangs fell over his eyes as a shadow crossed his face.
"You knew you were in a relationship, right?" He growled slightly.
"Im sor-"
"Save it. I don't want to hear your apologies." He walked off lividly.
Tick, tock...
A twisted grin found itself playing on his lips. A wicked cackle escaped his mouth. He loved this!
Amu. The girl who broke his heart. The girl who went through guys like they were a buffet. The girl who played him. The girl who ruined him. The girl who caused his final descent into the madness that has now consumed him.
A/N: This is kind of an AmuHiko. I guess? If you didn't guess, that's a flashback to when the voices first started. Well, review!
