Episode 1: A New Semester Begins

Location: Nijiro Sentai High School
Nijiro Sentai High School, a private school funded by the government to train future generations of heroes into becoming heroes and members of the Super Sentai. Founded by the Himitsu Sentai Goranger and the mysterious masked AkaRed of Densetsu Sentai Akaranger as a way to train future generations to fight the forces of evil. Multiple 4-story buildings surrounded the area closed off by gates made of cold steel but the school is filled with love, passion, courage, hope, light, friendship and justice. The main class building was painted red which marked the fiery soul of all the red warriors that have donned the color of the past 40 plus years of history with clear glass windows. The interior having clean tiled floors and markers marking each of the classrooms.
In classroom '1-A', we have students Kairi Yano, Umika Hayami, Sela, Tusk, Hammy, Fuuka Igasaki, and Nagi Matsuo. Their homeroom teacher is none other than MegaRed himself, Kenta Date who did not appear in the classroom at the moment as the students were each seated in a desk and waiting. He then momentarily stepped in the room with his hair combed back and wearing a black suit with a red tie. Addressing the class, he said, "Welcome students. My name is Kenta Date, or previously known as MegaRed of the Denji Sentai Megaranger! As you know, each of you as come here to train and learn how to become a Senshi, continuing the legacy of the Super Sentai."
The class couldn't help but notice his hyper and exicitive attitude. The professor then went on to say, "First question, who can tell me what is the Super Sentai?"
No one seemed to answer immediately as Kairi whispered to Umika, "Sentai? What are you talking about you computer whiz? We're more of a solo trio of phantom thieves except one of us is either dating his girlfriend or running the restaurant we hang out fighting cops who are clearly out of our league."
"Come on! Don't be shy!" The teacher implied the students. One of the students then raised their hand as Kenta pointed to him as he said, "You there in the glasses."
Tusk then adjusted his glasses and explained for the class, "The Super Sentai are a organization of masked heroes who fight against supernatural threats. Each Sentai team consists of 5 or more members acting as a group under the lead of a Red Senshi with the exception of some teams."
"That is correct." Professor Date acknowledged. "Now today's class is your introduction to Super Sentai, now flip to your text books for Chapter 1."
Taking out their books, the students flipped to the first page as instructed.
In 1975, the terrorist organization, the Black Cross Army attacked the main 5 Eagle branches in Japan with the intent of conquering the world, killing everyone there except for 5 members from the individual branches, these 5 would become the world's first Sentai, Himitsu Sentai Goranger, that team started a legacy that continues to this day with the pirates from space, Kaizoku Sentai Gokaiger.
"Now, you students are the next generation, the next step in the fight against evil, the future of Super Sentai! You are going to be trained to be future rangers and continue their legacy. Whether this means defeating enemies or protecting innocent lives."
"Hang on teach, pirates? I thought we were gonna be the only ones stealing the treasure." Kairi responded.
"Guess they let anyone be apart of Sentai as long as you can beat aliens or mutants up." Sela said in response to Kairi.
"What's wrong with stealing and plundering?" Umika asked.
"Stealing is wrong." Hammy told her. "Rangers shouldn't just be fighters. We are allies of justice. We need to be a beacon of hope and be able to inspire others."
"Hammy is correct." Professor Date said. "Rangers must never use their powers for personal gain."
"But I remember reading that not all Rangers in the past believed in justice." Tusk said. "What if someone wanted to use their powers for other purposes, good or bad, examples of this being DragonRanger, the Gouraigers, AbareKiller & Wolzard."
Hearing Tusk say that, Hammy took a minute to slightly shun away and looked down at her desk.
"That may be true Tusk, but you will need to do better than them. Learn from their past mistakes and become a better Ranger." Professor Date said. "Which is why with the foundation of the school, the principal and teachers have set standard rules and guidelines you will each follow in order to become better heroes. First, you musn't use your power unless advised to or in case of an emergency. Second, no one must know about the double lives you lead, it could lead to them being in grave danger and if a villain was to know your identity, they can use that and your loved ones against you. Just look at my team for example, the whole school turned against us when Dr. Hinelar attacked. But even then, we kept fighting for what we thought was right. Third, do not escalate a battle if it's a controllable situation. Reckless behavior can easily cause people getting hurt or collateral damage to the area. Lastly, never use your powers for evil or personal gain. Just look at KibaRanger for example, he used his powers to impress women on his skateboard."
"Why would he do that?" Sela wondered. "What a dumb waste. It's so childlike of him to do that I mean what is he? A pervert?"
"Technically when the Dairangers fought against the Gorma." Tusk replied to her. "But I do agree that is a dumb decision and even worse when one of his team members was his own sister. But in the end, he is still part of Sentai history. Even though he did go through a lot when he was little and did a lot of stupid things when he started his ranger life."
"Still, being a ranger must make you pretty cool and popular." Umika said as she dreamed about her future publicity both as a ranger and an idol thief
"Glad to see you are all excited to start your training to become future rangers." Professor Date said. "Remember that your experience here will not only be learning of your predecessors but also physically practicing in fighting. That is all I have for now. For the rest of the day you get to meet more of your fellow students so you can bond with them and learn more about each other. Class is officially dismissed."
The professor then picked up his things and then walked out of the classroom. "So that was MegaRed." Kairi thought. "He seemed as hyper and naive as I've heard despite being a professional teacher."
"Seems so." Hammy replied. "He seems more of a computer nerd than an actual teacher. I wonder what the other teachers and students will be like."
"Who knows." Umika said. "Are you from out of town or something Hammy cause from the way I noticed you were at orientation you seemed to not have much knowledge about the school or anything."
"There's no need to interrogate her." Sela said. "This is new for all of us so we'll just need to work our hardest and make the most of our time here."
"We should all head to our next class." Tusk said putting his books away and grabbing his bag and they all headed out.

Location: Nijiro Sentai High School Training Center
The students left the homeroom to traverse to their first lesson in the simulated battlegrounds, Basic combat with RyuuRanger, Ryou.
When they got there, the doors opened to reveal a team of staff sitting at computers and monitoring the battlegrounds. This seemed like a bigger class as there were some other students there as well. Each student was wearing their gym uniforms that were largely white but each had their chosen colors on them. Standing in the center of the room against the giant doors that lead to the room where the physical combat training would be done is none other than Ryou himself.
"Alright everyone, my name is Ryou of the Heavenly Fire Star. From today on I will be teaching you all in physical combat. To start, each of you will tell me your name and your chosen ranger title and color." The teacher announced in a loud voice.
"My name is Lucky. Chosen to be called, Shishi Red." One of the students said first.
"Also, he has an annoying catchphrase that's almost as annoying as Taka-nee's catchphrase." Fuuka whispered to Nagi as he chuckled. She then introduced herself as she said, "My name is Fuuka Igasaki. Chosen to be called, ShiroNinger."
"And I'm her cousin, Nagi Matsuo, My chosen alias shall be called KiNinger"
"My name is Stinger. My chosen name is Sasori Orange."
"My name is Leo. My chosen alias is Zyuoh Lion."
"My name is Yamato Kazakiri. My chosen alias is Zyuoh Eagle."
"My name is Kairi Yano. My chosen alias is Lupin Red."
"My name is Umika Hayami. My chosen alias is Lupin Yellow."
"My name is Sela. My chosen alias is Zyuoh Shark."
"My name is Tusk. My chosen alias is Zyuoh Elephant."
"My name is Hammy. My chosen alias is Chameleon Green."
All of them said their names except for the silver haired man who was crossing his arms looking for any signs of danger, Hammy spoke up, "This person is Naga Rei, he's not very talkative. He chose the alias, Hebitsukai Silver."
The professor seemed intrigued as he replied and said, "Hmm, interesting. You all have very unique and good chosen names as rangers, some of you have even decided to team up which I hope you all make great teams in the future. Now I'm pretty sure you each have your own henshin devices, weapons and suits that you sent in designs for enrollment. However, those will only get you so far, you will more importantly need to fight by yourselves with your own fists so those will be given you further down the line in the year. Allow me to demonstrate. First, I'll need a volunteer."
Looking at each other, the students wondered who would be crazy enough to fight their teacher. Then, Leo stepped forward and said, "I volunteer."
The other students were surprised as Tusk thought, "What does he think he's doing?"
"I don't know, but I give him 3 minutes max before he gets his ass kicked." Sela replied.
Meanwhile, Ryou told Leo, "Alright then, step forward. The rest of you, watch and pay attention."
As Leo walked towards him, Ryuu instructed, "No powers, no weapons. Just plain old fists. I want you to try and knock me down. But be warned, I maybe 20 years out of practice but I can still pull the teachings of my old master Doushi. Do not hesitate. Come at me with what you got"
"I understand." Leo replied. Ryou then grinning and forming his old battle stance. Leo doing one of his own. Learning it from the time that he and Sela fought in their karate classes together
Leo dashed forward at Ryou running like a lion but not going on a full on rampage and tried to strike a punch at Ryou. Ryou managing to block the strike and counter the move. Leo continuing to wild swing at the professor as Ryou continued to try and block as many times as possible. As Leo wasn't fully focused, Ryou managed to counter and kick him on his lower side. Leo getting pushed back and needing to block a hard punch from the professor.
As the two back away, Leo tried to tackle Ryou but the professor was able to catch him and counter the move. And with Leo trying to throw a last punch, Ryou grabbed his arm and flipped him down to the ground, then pinning him.
"Not bad kid, but your style is sloppy." Ryou complimented as he then let go and helped Leo back up. He then told the class, "When you fight, it needs to be from the heart that fuels your spirit as you put everything on the line. You need to give it your all and put your whole being into it."
"Yes, sir." All of the students acknowledged.
"Very well." The professor instructed. "For the remaining class, you'll be doing stretching exercises and I'll give you a few beginners tips."

Location: Milky Way Galaxy
Meanwhile, up in space, a spaceship in the shape of an eyeball just arrived in the universe on board bought with it the leader of an army that Shou Ronpo fought on his journey throughout the cosmos, his name was Sieg Kirisark, leader of the Otakage Empire along for the ride is his own squad of generals. "Finally, I have arrived in this miserable universe that is filled with the thing I hate the most, justice. At least I still have the thing that took me half a millennium to find."
In his hand was something that looked like a of a corrupt version of the Greatest Treasure of the Universe, twisted and manipulated but attached to a cannon with a slot on the top to insert a certain item.
He called forth an Abyss, a powered up version of his foot soldiers, the Beneathers. "Abyss!" Sieg called. "Go down to the planet with a squad of Beneathers, I need a sample of this world's heroes to start my master plan."
The Abyss grunted in agreement as they headed to the blue planet that was already under attack by another space empire and speaking of that empire and the Sentai they're fighting.

Location: Metropolitan Shirokaze Park
In the next city over, the thirty-fifth team, Kaizoku Sentai Gokaiger, were fighting the Zangyack as regular, they were swapping between their Gokai Sabers & Guns quickly dealing with the Gormin foot soldiers. Using his sword to block a strike from one of the grunts, Gokai Red, Captain Marvelous snarked and being the badass he is said, "You Zangyack goons really know when and how to piss me off." He then used the gun his other hand to shoot at a group of them."
"There's a lot more of them today, I wonder what they're after." Gokai Pink, Ahim de Famille asked switching weapons with Joe and shooting at a bunch of Gormin.
Slashing through them, Gokai Blue, Joe Gibken answered, "Don't know and who cares. Let's just deal with them."
Don Dogoier, Gokai Green tried to fight but because he's a coward, he tried to flee but gets stopped and saved by Luka Milily, Gokai Yellow. "Don, get off your ass and start shooting." She mocked and yelled at him, using her sword whips to slice through the Gormin. "I don't want to have to save you every time."
"Okay." Don replied shooting at a last group of Gormin.
With all the Gormin soldiers down, the team regrouped and turned to fight the Action Commander. Marvelous commanding the team to Gokai Change into the Goseigers. They assembled Gosei Buster, performed the Gosei Dynamic and destroyed the Action Commander. The group then transformed back into their normal ranger suits. But when they thought the fight was over, Abyss showed up with a squad of Beneathians blocking their way.
"Who are you?" Marvelous asked.
"I am Abyss of the Otakage Empire, my master Sieg Kirisark is in search of the power of the heroes of this universe."
"Eh? Another empire?" Don wondered. "And we already have the Zangyack to deal with."
"Shut up idiot!" Luka said in retaliation.
"Doesn't matter who you are. You better get out of our way." Joe said.
"If you don't hand over your powers right now, you will be destroyed." Abyss said
"Heh, like hell we will, guys, let's make this showy." Marvelous said. The team then following his lead as they charged at Abyss.
The Gokaigers charged into battle as so do the Beneathians. The gokaigers initially shooting and slashing their way through them, holding their own for the most part. However, Abyss gave them an instant power boost as he continued to watch the fight.

Location: Nijiro Sentai High School Cafeteria
Back at the Sentai in training, the students were now in the cafeteria eating lunch and bonding over similar interests.
"Hey Tusk, got a question for you." Umika asked.
While eating his bento box, Tusk responded, "What is it?"
"Kairi says you, Leo, Sela and Amu come from a town overseas and I couldn't help but notice you all don't have last names." She wondered. "Is there a reason for that?"
"Oh … well, where we come from we just go by a singular name." Tusk elaborated.
"Ah, I see." Umika said.
"So you guys got Kenta Date as your homeroom teacher." Spada asked Hammy.
"Yeah. What about you?" Hammy replied.
"We got Joh Ohara. From what I've read, he was the Yellow Lion of the Choujuu Sentai Liveman." Spada said.
"Being a lion ranger, he gets a plus in my book." Leo acknowledged with a smile.
"So I heard we got a bunch of kids in your class. Including one of our own." Stinger asked Nagi,
"How is it?"
"They're not as annoying as other kids I've seen, but also they're also not as annoying as our sibling." Nagi replied with Stinger thinking about a stupid thing Lucky did, but then he also thought about his brother Scorpio.
"I can't help but wonder why this school needed to be a thing." Kairi wondered. "I mean even as we're here other Sentai teams are fighting right now. What's the point of needing to be in school when we could be out there fighting."
"I don't think it's that simple." Amu said. "It's like we were told in homeroom. They can't afford to have any rangers acting naive or reckless."
"Amu would be correct." Naga said. "These are necessary precautions. Though a lot of money probably went in to making the school."
"Overall, it's a great honor and privilege to be at this school. We get to learn from Rangers themselves in how to fight and stuff. It's really cool." Lucky said.
"Though it is a massive responsibility." Naga said. "We will each have massive shoes to follow no matter how bad the fight gets."
"It won't be that hard. The only thing is being able to get through the initial class stages. It'll be a lot better once we get to have more practical practices and field assignments." Yamato said.
"Speaking of which, do you think they made this school to fight an enemy that is incoming as we speak?" Leo wondered.
"Leo, if you just jinxed us, I will hit you." Sela said.
"By the way, Sela-san. Have you picked out who you want as your roommate?" Hammy wondered.
"Now that you think of it, no." She replied.
"I don't think anyone has." Tusk said. "They probably wanted us to wait till we finish our first day of classes to show us the dorms and all the usual stuff."
"Speaking of the official heroes, what do you think they're doing?" asked Amu.
"Probably saving people, fighting evil and the typical stuff a hero does." Fuuka replied.

(Cuts back to the battle where Gokaigers getting wailed on even if they try certain combinations of keys and their Double Final Wave with the guns and swords)
However, Abyss and the Beneathians countered and sent an even powerful strike back at them. Knocking the team back onto the ground. Things looked pretty grim. That is until Gai, Gokai Silver came to their aid.
"Gai, where the hell were you when we asked you to come help us?!" Luka yelled in frustration.
"Sorry everyone, I just heard that they the new semester at the Sentai High School started and I thought I could meet many of my senpai and hopefully become one myself and…" Gai rambled which even the villains were getting annoyed by his constant fanboying.
"Shut up you whiny manchild!" Abyss shouted.
Gai took notice of the enemy and his foot soldiers, "Hey! I'm 19, you Zangyack."
"Zangyack, what's that? I'm Abyss of the Otakage Empire, my master Sieg Kirisark wishes to seek your power."
"Great, we have another evil empire to deal with?" "This can easily mop the floor with your foot soldiers" Gai charged into battle while the Gokaigers told him to stop, "Gai, don't! They're much powerful than they look!"
Gai soon found out about that fact as while trying to fight against Abyss, the enemy easily managed to dodge and counter each of his attacks, his Gokai Spear getting knocked out of his hand. He then tried going for Gold Mode, but even at its most powerful was able to defeat a single foot soldier. Absorbing the energy, they fired back. Sending Gai back with the others. In a last effort, they tried going for the big gun literally and summon the Gokai Galleon Buster and as it fired at them, it only managed to knock out a couple of foot soldiers with 1 strike. But even with all 6 of them there, charging the Rising Strike, it forces them all to demorph and they all collapse to the ground. Abyss then walked up to the weakened team and took their Gokaiger Keys & the 6th Ranger Keys.
"My work here is done." Abyss said as he teleported back to the ship leaving the Gokaigers down, helpless & battered.

Location: Nijiro Sentai High School Principal's Office
We cut back to the high school in the principal's office where we see that it's AkaRed, the living spirit of Sentai itself, the former captain to Marvelous in a suit with just his helmet on signing papers. But then Sokichi Banba, Big One of J.A.K.Q Dengekitai, rushed in. "What's the matter?" AkaRed asked.
"AkaRed! We have some terrible news, the Gokaigers have been defeated by an unknown enemy."
"What?!" AkaRed asked. "How badly were they hurt? Who attacked them?"
"We got the story from Tatsuya Asami, TimeRed, who was out for his regular errands until he found them badly beaten and called for an ambulance. From the information we have, the enemy goes by the name of Abyss and he claims he's from the Otakage Empire."
As AkaRed took a minute to think, Big One asked, "Do you know of them?"
"No." AkaRed replied. "And you guys thought you had it bad when you fought the first wave of the Zangyack Empire a couple of years ago in the Legend War." He then instructed, "I want any possible team to pick up the enemy's trail. We need to find out who they are and what they have planned. Things here in the school remain on schedule, the students will continue in their training."
"What happens if they come and attack here" Big One asked.
"The teachers and I will fight to protect the students." AkaRed replied. "Assemble as many Sentai members as you can!"
"Yes sir!" Big One said and then rushed out the door to start contacting the other rangers.

Location: Nijirou Sentai High School
While in the middle of History class taught by Asuka of Dino Earth, also known as the Saurian Warrior, AbareBlack,, Kairi couldn't help but overhear some of the commotion outside coming from some of the teachers. Then quietly thought to himself, "What's going on?" so he went over to hear while no one was watching.
"...And that is why we need to act now, if we don't act sooner, the students would be done for!"
"Do you think they could be ready for it? I mean you saw it during the combat training, some of them are proved to be skilled fighters."
"I agree, this new threat isn't gonna sit on it until their ready, you need to focus on the here and now."
"But have you forgotten? We're powerless! We sacrificed all our powers in the Legend War! Now a new threat comes out of nowhere and wants our powers which I remind you is condensed into keys which they want for their own personal gain."
"That doesn't excuse that we all still have a duty to do what we can."
"What about the school and the students?"
"AkaRed's orders are to keep the students in the dark out of this for their own safety. We are to continue their regular training and keep them out of this."
Suddenly, Kairi was caught by Professor Asuka as he told the young red ranger, "Mr. Yano, could you please return to your seat and pay attention?"
Turning back to the class, Kairi replied, "Yes sir, I'm sorry." He then walked over back to his desk and sat down.
Umika saw that something was off with him as she asked, "What's wrong?"
"I'll tell you later." Kairi replied. And they continued their class as normal. Kairi still wondering about what he overheard.

Location: Sieg Kirisark's Commandship
Returning to the ship, Abyss bowed before his master. "Abyss, report!" Sieg demanded.
"I have encountered some of the Earth's heroes you had told me about. They put up an effort of resistance, however, they were still no match for us." Abyss then handed Sieg the keys he stole from the Gokaigers.
"Excellent, now I have enough to produce an army of past dead generals. Then, no one will be able to stop the undying might of Otakage Empire!"
