"How do i love thee? let me count the ways..." Ron read in disgust, "What is this rubbish? It's ridiculous! No one actually talks like this!"

"It's called poetry Ronald, and it's very romantic." Hermione said in a condescending tone.

"Well it's stupid in my opinion. Who actually falls for this stuff anyway?"

Hermione looked at Ron defiantly with a glare.

"You have got to be kidding me," Ron gaped, "You actually like this stuff?"

"It happens to be very romantic and sweet. I don't expect you to understand seeing as you aren't capable of being either of those things."

"What! I can be romantic..."

Ron and Hermione continued to bicker while Harry just sat there shaking his head and tried to continue studying. It seemed all they did was bicker, and it had become especially bad this year. They were always fighting over the most ridiculous things. If only they would realize how madly in love they were, then maybe the bickering would stop. But somehow Harry doubted it would ever stop. It really was a hassle being friends with the two of them, he was always thrown into the middle and expected to choose sides.

"Harry you agree with me right? This stuff is absolute rubbish."

"Oh don't be ridiculous, Harry understands and appreciates poetry."

He had been dealing with their fighting all year and this was the final straw

"Alright, enough! I am tired of you two constantly fighting and pulling me into the middle! I am stressed out enough this year without you two adding to it and trying to make me choose between my best friends!" Harry fumed, "The bickering is ridiculous and I guarantee you I'm not the only one tired of it! It's time that you two get over yourselves and admit to yourselves and each other that you are madly in love! And the sooner the better, for all of us." Harry was breathing hard by the end of his outburst. He slammed his book closed and stormed up to his dormitory.

The common room was dead silent as everyone waited for Ron or Hermione to do something. They were frozen in place staring into each other's eyes. Finally Ron seemed to come too and dropped his gaze to his hands.

"What he said...that was..."

"Complete rubbish." Hermione said quickly.

"Er yeah right. Completely stupid. Anyway I think I'll go to bed now." and Ron gathered up his things and stumbled up the stairs, red in the face.

Everyone in the common room let out a collective groan. They had been so close! So close to ending all the fighting and finally getting some peace. Those two needed to figure things out soon, for the sake of all the Gryffindor's sanities.
