Fred and George had identical smirks on their face and Hermione didn't like it. Five years of living in the same school with them had taught her to never trust that smirk. When the twins had a smirk on their face a prank usually followed. Before she wouldn't have worried as much, but before the twins hadn't had skiving snack boxes and canary creams. Before she wasn't a prefect and didn't have to deal with them or the mess they would leave. Now the responsibility was all on her. She knew Ron wouldn't back her in this, not when his brothers were involved. She knew none of the other prefects would back her either for fear of being the next victim of their pranks. She sighed, sometimes she wished Percy were still there, he would have backed her up. She decided to just get it over with. She walked over to the twins "Don't do it." She begged.

The twins just grinned at her "Do what?"

"You know what i mean! I know that look, you are about to cause havoc and I don't want to have to clean it up."

"We aren't planning anything Hermione, besides if we were-" Fred began

"We wouldn't tell a perfect prefect like you." George finished for his brother.

Hermione just glared at them, it usually took a lot to make her lose her temper, but right now she was stressed, hungry, and in desperate need of some sleep.

She got up in their faces and said in a deadly quiet voice, "Do you two have any idea how stressed i am right now? I already have to deal with OWLS, SPEW, Umbridge, the DA, and being friends with someone intent on getting himself killed before he graduates, do you really think I want to have to deal with your mess too?"

Hermione gave them a smirk when she saw the fear in the twin's eyes. Unfortunately they recovered quickly, "Come on Hermione, lighten up!"

"Take a break!"

"Relax a little!"

"You worry too much!"

They were having trouble hiding their laughter at her frazzled expression. Hermione continued to glare at them but she knew they weren't going to give in. She sighed, she didn't want to do this but she knew she couldn't handle any more stress right now. She was going to play the trump card. "If you don't stop...I'll tell your mother." Hermione was satisfied with the looks of horror on their faces.

"You wouldn't!" but Hermione just glared. The twins sighed and she knew she had won.

"Come on Hermione! Everyone needs something to cheer them up, especially you, and with that old toad running the place, who else is going to lighten the mood? Besides you're going to like this one." Hermione seriously doubted that. "Look just let it happen and if you don't like it then write to our mother and we will deal with the consequences." Hermione sighed and nodded, she did agree that everyone needed a laugh, and at this point she was too tired to continue arguing.

The twins grinned then looked over her shoulder "Ah the show is about to begin." Hermione turned around wasn't disappointed. Umbridge had just walked into the great hall when suddenly her skin turned green and slimy and she was covered in warts. The great hall was filled with laughter and Umbridge looked outraged. She opened her mouth to yell, but all that came out was a gigantic croak. The laughter grew even louder and Hermione smiled. She couldn't rat the twins out, after all they were right, she did enjoy herself.
