74. Snow
Based on a prompt from a 100 Themes Challenge I'm trying to do.
Disclaimer: If I owned Axis Powers Hetalia, Canada would be more than an afterthought and I'd know Japanese. As none of these things are true, I don't own, so don't sue.
Alaska sat quietly outside and watched the snow fall. He wondered why he was so different from his siblings. They even had a special word, continental. Sure, Hawaii wasn't continental but they had so little else they shared that even that one commonality didn't bring them closer together. None of his siblings really understood his climate, what it was like to live so close to and in the arctic circle. So many differences and he was left all alone, the lonely little chunk of America in the northwest. So he watches the snow fall, and wonders what it would be like if he lived near enough to his siblings that they could play with him during the long arctic night, or snowball fights that last through the night on days when the sun never sets. He is still wondering what it would be like when Yukon waves to him from Canada, calling "Do you want to play with us?" Alaska smiles, and crosses the border, immediately included in the game by the provinces surrounding him, who knew exactly what it was like to live so far north.
