SMASH! Draco's head whipped around to stare at the door of his office. He rose quickly from his seat at his desk and stormed out of the room. He headed toward the living room, where he thought the noise came from. Sure enough, when he entered the room a pot was on floor smashed into thousands of tiny pieces, and next to it sat his son, his broomstick lying next to him.
"Scorpius Hyperion Malfoy, what did I tell you about riding your broomstick in the house?"
Scorpius cowered under his dad's stern stare, "I'm sorry daddy, I didn't mean too!
"I have told you thousands of times! I'm going to have to take your broom away until you learn how to do what you're told." Draco was tired of running around the house repairing things his son ran into.
"I'm sorry! Please don't hate me!" Scorpius was in tears now.
Draco expression quickly softened and he bent down to his son's level, "Oh Scorp," Draco put his hands on his son's shoulders, "I could never hate you. I'm your father."
"But you told mummy yesterday that your dad hated you! I just don't want you to hate me!" Scorpius cried.
Draco expression darkened at the mention of his father, "Listen to me Scorpius, my father was a terrible man who didn't know how to love. He was an awful father, and as soon as he died I vowed to never be like him. I vowed to be a better husband and a better father," Draco sighed, "But I guess I've been failing in the father department huh?"
"Oh no daddy! You're a wonderful father!" Scorpius launched himself into his father's arms.
"Glad to hear it son. I'm trying, I really am." Scorpius just hugged his father harder.
"Scorp it's very important that you never judge a person by their parents, do you hear me? No one is their parents." Draco made sure his son paid full attention to his words.
"Even if it's Harry Potter's son?" Scorpius asked innocently
"Even if it's Harry potter's son," Draco sighed, "Now if you do that then I'll never be like my father."
"Promise?"
"Promise." Draco grabbed his son into a bone crushing hug. He loved this boy more than anything in the world. He could never hate him.
