Prologue
Part A (Link)
Silence, absolute silence. Victory was so close and yet he failed. The silence was proof of such failure. Where is Ganondorf? Is Zelda alright? How is Midna faring? What is the current state of Hyrule? These were questions running through the former Hero of Time's mind. The guilt was unbearable to Link, he was supposed to defeat Ganondorf and he couldn't. He fell for the Gerudo King's trick and paid the price. The worst part of all was that he was felled by his own blade, the Bane of Evil itself.
Link's final moments just kept replaying in his head over and over like a movie reel. Link went for the Ending Blow, Ganondorf dodged and removed the Master Sword from his grasp, and finally he was shoved to the ground and stabbed through the heart. Pain flickered through his brain then stopped./em And now that he thought about it he should have been in more pain. At this point Link decided to open his eyes. Before him was a sight too bizarre for words, it was Ganondorf, but he wasn't moving or breathing. In fact he was a gray, stone statue, holding Link in place with the Master Sword. Link looked to the left and saw the Sage Sword that Ganondorf had obtained when he killed one of the Seven Sages. Link then began to reach for the Sage Sword and upon touching it, the sword emitted a faint glow.
Link examined the Master Sword in his chest and after a moment, deciphered that there was no saving the sword and he wanted to be free. so he bashed the Master Sword with the hilt of the Sage Sword. It took a minute or two of repeated whacks to break the blade in half. Once the deed was done, Link pulled himself out from underneath Ganondorf. Link then stood up and brushed himself off. Half of the Master Sword was now in Link's heart and the other half in the Evil King's hands. Link took this time to finally try to assess the situation at hand and his surroundings...
Part B (Zelda/Sheik & Midna)
Being split into millions of paper thin, square particles and then being reconstructed, however uncomfortable, was the least of Zelda's worries. She was worried about reaching the one person who would know how to save Link. Now that Zant was out of the way, Midna could create her own Twili portals so she had done exactly that to take Zelda to the place she asked, the Hidden Village. Upon arrival, Zelda motioned for Midna to follow and headed to a back alley where a door was barely visible. When she opened the door a stairwell going a long ways down into darkness was revealed.
Zelda then transformed into Sheik, and Midna became Sheik's shadow. As Sheik was heading down the stairs, her footsteps echoed loudly in the dark making the atmosphere all the more eerie. After what seemed like forever, Sheik finally reached the bottom. The bottom of the stairwell opened up into a huge, circular chamber similar to that of the Sealed Chamber in the Temple of Time long since decayed and dilapidated. This chamber, unlike the Sealed Chamber, was lit by torches and instead of the pedestal in the center there was a Sheikah Stone twice the size of normal ones and poles protruding from it to perch and meditate on. Sitting on one of the poles was a tribe leader by the name of Impa.
Sheik bowed politely and began to speak, "Impa we are within dire times" Impa then leapt to the floor and gave Sheik her full attention then nodded for Sheik to proceed. Sheik continued, "Link has fallen to the Evil King..." Impa was aptly focused and when Sheik finished she said to Sheik, "One thing to always keep in mind is this, things are not always as they appear to be and it is up to you, the Warrior of Truth, to uncover said truth in the world and by doing so you shall return Link to his natural state of being. And you, Midna, need to be the messenger between the worlds" Impa added at the end having already sensed Midna's presence upon the duo's entry of the chamber…
Sooo… yeah this is a thing… I swear it was longer when I wrote it on paper, but it is the 1st chapter of my first story so you can expect more length in the future. Hopefully I can get these in monthly once I can have a more routine schedule
