*Sapphire's POV*
"Elizabeth, I can't keep up with your antics right now."
The small, quite annoying blonde with evil pigtails sprinted all around the outdoor marketplace. I couldn't quite keep up with her rapidity all around. I felt like taking out my scythe and offing her with it. But I couldn't do that to little Lady Middleford. It would be improper of me as a maid.
"Sapphire, I found the most beautiful blue trousers for Ciel! They match his eyes wondrously! Don't you think we should buy them for him, Phira?" She glanced at me with so much admiration in her iridescent emerald eyes. She always spoke about her cousin/fiancé with such exhilaration, it made me sick. He wasn't in love with her in that respect. Why would she keep pushing on? Maybe because she knew it was this way since delivery, I don't know. Or maybe Earl Ciel Phantomhive felt that way. It was hard to tell.
I shook my head, taking myself out of the daze. "Oh, milady, the blue trousers will suit Lord Phantomhive ever-so marvelously." I curtsied, as I feigned fascination in the azure slacks. They were too much his color, and I thought honestly, they'd look revolting on him. Maybe we should buy something a fine-looking sable color. That might be a modification to his endlessly green and blue wardrobe.
Lizzie grabbed the pants and folded them over my arms. "What else, Sapphire? Shall we get him a matching formal chemise?"
I rolled my eyes inconspicuously, and ran my hands over my fourteen year old frame. I would kill myself right now if I wasn't already dead. If I wasn't already a grim reaper, I'd slice my ears off so I couldn't hear her shrill voice all about shopping, and Ciel Phantomhive. It could get quite tiresome.
She grabbed a cobalt chemise and we went to the next section of the square. She wanted to shower the earl in gifts. He didn't quite like that from what I deduced.
She picked out a woody-scented cologne, and one that reeked like mint leaves you'd put in your tea. "My lady, if you don't mind me asking, are both bottles for the Lord Phantomhive?"
Lizzie shook her blonde ringlets. "Of course not! I was invited to a social gathering at Lord Trancy's manor. It'd only be proper to bring him a gift when I arrive."
I bobbed my head automatically. I guess if you didn't show up at a Trancy party with a gift, you wouldn't leave at all.
We checked out with a lump-sum of money gone. This little girl needed to keep some pounds on her sometimes. Sighing, I held the sacks on my wrists, and followed her back to the carriage.
"Sapphire, could you do me a favor, and stay back? I'd like you to find the one last perfect gift for Ciel! I've got to get ready for dinner with him."
Groaning, I grabbed some pounds from her and hauled my way back to the market. I ran my hands through my long, violet hair. The damn brat didn't have any common courtesy for other people…
I knew it'd be a long day, too long to even imagine.
A/N: Chapter 1 :D I would love for you to vote for Sapphire's love interest! You know she's a Reaper, and you know how she feels about the two main humans. So, please R&R. Love ya!
