Rei Hino was on her way home to the shrine her grandfather ran when she saw what looked like Usagi sitting on the steps to the shrine crying as rei got closer she realized it was usage her usage was crying rei thought to herself "who could do this to her" rei approached usagi and asked "usa-chan what's wrong" usagi looked up knowing that voice and immediately stood up and latched on to rei crying in her shoulder rei wrapped her arms around usagi and started consoling her and trying to get her to calm down. Rei realized usagi wasn't going to stop anytime soon and it was starting to get dark out so rei took usagi inside and reis grandfather said usagi could stay the night so rei brought usagi and extra pair of pajamas and rolled out the futon. When all that was set rei asked usagi "usa-chan will you tell me what is making you so upset" usagi looked at rei and said "I went to go see mamo-chan and I found another girl exiting his apartment as I was about to knock on the door. Oh rei-chan he was cheating on me!" usagi then broke down in tears once again rei rushed over to the futon and hugged usagi saying "usa-chan it's going to be ok you don't need him ok try to get some sleep usa-chan" and with that usagi fell asleep rei laid her down and climbed into her own bed and fell asleep.
A few hours later rei was awoken by a nudge on her arm she turned over and there was usagi she looked at rei and said "rei can I sleep with you I feel really lonely right now" rei smiled a bit and said "ok usa" as soon as usagi got in she cuddled up to rei's chest rei wrapped her arms around usagi, kissed her on the cheek and said "I love you usa more than mamoru ever could I will make sure nothing bad happens" before rei fell asleep she heard usagi say "I love you too rei I know that now you're the one I'm supposed to be with" with that they both fell asleep with smiles on their faces and a lot to talk about tomorrow.
