Draco Malfoy does believe so. Lord Voldemort will, he feels, triumph eventually and the hatred towards Ron Weasley will never fade.
Just like the Lucius's hatred towards Arthur Weasley has not faded.
But his obsession towards the filthy muggle lover is quite eerie and he doesn't know how to make of the constant image of his freckled face. Or the tremble of his fingers when the redhead is near. Nor the constricting of the heart when any one mumbles the name, Ron Weasley.
Oh the absurdities of human life.
