Disclaimer : Story mine. Turtles not.
It had finally come to this. For days now it had boiled, fermenting until the air hung heavy between us, leadened with unspoken words and broken trust.
I'm not to clear how this had happened, all I know is that it had started with a harmless joke, a joke that very well may cost us our lives. Sighing deeply, I adjusted
my mask before tieing the knot that bound my tools to my waist. I was as ready as I ever was going to be.
Stepping out into Lair proper proved just how bad things were. Usually there would much ado. Leo would be in the dojo, the swipes from his katana thrumbing along with Mikey's frantic scribbling from the kitchen, providing a subtle backdrop to the thumps of Raph's punching bag, which would sound in harmony to the clanks from my lab. But now everything was quiet, everyone isolating themselves. I sighed dejectedly once more. The air was heavier then ever, and still no one was willing to take the first step to clear the air.
Pulling my weapon from its sheathe, I approached the door in front of me, things have gone on long enough. Banging it open, I swiftly flipped inside, and started attacking, refusing to stop lest my thoughts catch up to me and make me realize what I was doing. It had to be done, there was no other choice...
"Donnie?"
I peered over my shoulder and my red banded brother, my eyes falling into slits, any resemblance of control left me as I stared at him. Raph gulped as I approached with my weapon held high, removing the paper mask that covered my beak. Before he could make a break for it, I callously shoved the toilet plunger into his chest.
"The next time you think its funny to slip laxatives into Mikey's pizza, you can clean it up!!"
There are just somethings that shouldn't have to be said...
