Prologue
The silver moonlight outlined a shape in the distance, a cat. It's white-and-pale brown fur lay flat as another cat murmured some words of encouragement.
" You can do it, Mallow fern." The soothing voice of a tom echoed. Mallow fern swayed her thin tail around her paws, she didn't reply a answer, she only closed her eyes.
For a moment, nothing moved but the blades of grass in the calm faint breeze. The impatient apprentice swiped her version back toward her mentor," It's an omen!"
Her mentor purred and dipped his head," I believe StarClan is honored too share this with you, anyway," he changed his expression," what did they share?"
She breathed," Out of the night, there will be five new stars born to defeat the storm that floods the river."
Short Whisker, her mentor, twitched his ear then shook his whiskers," Out of the night…." he breathed, his eyes darting across the sky.
" It cant be us, we are The tribe of silent rivers." Mallow fern added. Short whisker nodded," The clans.
