Pansy Parkinson was walking down the hallway when she saw Malfoy up ahead. He'd asked her to the ball last year, finally he had noticed her! It took her forever to get him to ask her out. Not only forever, it took a lot of work on her part. She looked down at the belt she was wearing and remembered all the pain it had brought her.
Two years ago Pansy first met Malfoy and immediately got a giant crush on him. She started wearing make-up that year and she dyed her hair a darker, more glamorous color.
Not only that, Pansy also didn't fit into a belt she got with her school uniform. She thought she was very fat and she became bulimic. Anytime she finished eating, she would run to the bathroom and puke out the entire contents of her stomach. Every day she would try on that belt to see if she got less fat. But the day she finally fit, she didn't stop. She kept puking until she fit into the belt so that it would fasten on the last hole.
That was last year. Two weeks later Malfoy asked her to the Yule Ball and she finally was able to resist the urge to barf. She still didn't eat too much, after all she wanted to stay skinny for Malfoy. That's what she told herself as the excuse for her insecurities.
Pansy looked down at her belt again. It was fastened on the last hole, and as long as she wanted to keep Malfoy interested, it would stay there, no matter how much she regretted the choices she made to make herself skinny.
