Imagine Me and You.
John Bender just wanted someone that could cared for him.
John sat on the steps of Shermer High School looking up at the clouds passing him by, taking a drag of his cigarette every so offend. He wondered if he would see her again, or would it be just her memory that burned on in his mind .
for some reason the song " So Happy Together" by Turtles started to play in his head:
"Imagine me and you I do
I think about you day and night
It's only right
To think about the girl you love
And hold her tight
So happy together"
"shit." John mumbled out. John had snapped out of his daydream and saw what he was looking for walking across the field .She was wearing pink flats with a matching pink shirt with a denim skirt , the skirt was short just the way John liked it.
Claire was right in front of John now. Eyes locked not making a move, so John spoke first " Hey Cherry.." he had that smirk on his face like he always did. " Hi John" they didn't speak again for another five minutes. Finally Claire spoke first. " I was thinking about you all weekend John and I want to be with you…" she trailed off" I told my friends that I don't care what they think I want to be someone I care about "
" So you care about me Cherry??"asked John
" Yeah John I Do.. and when are you going to stop calling me that ??" Claire wondered
" when you know we…" Claire smacked his arm playfully " shut up John" Claire said with a giggle.
Claire was still giggling. but John had his eyes locked on her . he was watching her face . then he stuck his hand on her cheek rubbing her face with his thumb. She looked at him straight in the eyes " Claire …" he trailed off but before he could finish his sentence Claire had her lips on his. They were soft and John loved every moment of it . she ran her fingers threw his hair and he was rubbing her back. John could not have been happier he was with the girl he could truly say he loved.
