Hey everyone! This is my first story so please don't flame it
Joy's POV:
School was over, and I was walking back alone. The cool raindrops were brushing against my rosy cheeks and slipping off my green trench coat. Surprisingly, I wasn't in any rush; I just wanted to take my time. I've always liked rain, the cool and refreshing feeling, the soft sound against the window, the transparent blue color. It inspires me and helps me think. I think of myself like rain; barely noticeable at times, but when loud enough, it's always noticed.
I go down my favorite trail in the woods from school back to Anubis. The trail is tan and rocky, with bluebells, daisies, and so many more delicate flowers outlining it. Outside the lining of flowers are old willow trees that droop over the trail like a canopy, but leave only a thick strip of the sky to show. There's also a little brook with a small waterfall. There are always ducklings there and occasionally swans. I've always gone here on sunny days since I was little and would climb up the majestic trees and would write, draw, and sometimes whistle and sing with the graceful birds. This place was always my magical world. My secret. Well, not really. The only other person that knows is Fabian, but I doubt he remember this place. I first showed Fabes when I was 11. I never even showed it to Patricia. Fabian was always someone I could trust; who I knew would never laugh at my problems or blurt out my secrets. That's what made him so dear to me. I remember the day I showed him this place like it was yesterday:
Joy was walking alongside Fabian, who was so tired but intrigued.
"Joy, we've walked for ages!" Fabian moaned. "When are we going to get there?"
"C'mon we're almost here," Joy replied, reassuring him. After walking a little father they had finally reached the trail.
"Tada!" Joy said, pulling the willow leaves apart for Fabian to step through.
Fabian didn't say anything; He was just stunned at how perfect and beautiful it was. How the willow trees swooped down perfectly, the freshness of the flowers, the way the sun reflected off the water perfectly. He could only get one word out, and that word was wow. Joy giggled at his shock.
"C'mon, there's so much more to explore," Joy said holding her hand out. Fabian grabbed her hand, and she squeezed it. Joy started to run and they we're both laughing, acting like there was no tomorrow.
I then realized I had a huge smile on my face and that I was at Anubis House, and out of the trail. No, scratch that last word. My secret world.
Yeah, not the best I could do. Oh well.
R and R please!
