To
THE Kanata 24 years old

Hey,

How are you? How do you look now? You must have been grown bald like your dad, maybe lost a few teeth too, he he. May be you have grown fat, got glasses on those eyes. Surely.. oh God, what more can I say? There are so many probabilities.

But one thing for sure, we will not be together by then. I may be not looking forward to it, but Ruu and Wanya will be going away someday. I would be back to USA someday or other. These beautiful days will just be memories.

As I am writing this, outside you people are waiting, digging hole for the time capsule. It's such a pleasant day today. The day you are opening this, old Kanata, is the Sun shining like today? A wooden smell coming up from the floor,The permanent marker sketches by Ruu on the wall? Aren't they still there? After 10 years, this table-chair will be there perhaps, just not me.

Huh, look here, am getting emotional. Don't mind when you find the circular stain on this paper. It's just some stupid salt water.

There, you are calling my name, as am late writing the letters. You sound impatient, but very happy. When you call my name with this happiness in your tone, I just- just don't want to go anywhere anytime in my life. I envy everyone else getting share of it. Why can't your words just be mine? (Wow, that's something poetic I said).

Well now, sit down if you are standing. Because you are going to get a shocking news.

I love you, jerk.

...

Kanata downed his hand, and looked outside. A pleasant day. A few people are working outside. A smile crept through his face.

It's not exactly ten years. It is about eleven. The beautification work of gardens made the the old time capsules come out which he had forgotten about totally.

Smiling, Kanata looked at the sky.

We will meet again, Miyu. I have some letters, too.
