Remember that little place we called home? I was there yesterday; It was so.. Peaceful. I went our old tree house, It had our animal crackers that we hid in the floorboard. Don't eat those.. Ever! Haha. I cried, because we were little. How old were we? Um, 5 and 8? Haha. Now, we're 17 and 20. Gosh, Joe. So many memories.
Anyway, I gotta go. Say hi to Frankie, Kevin, Nick, and your Mom and Dad for me.

"Send." I said.
I sat on my computer chair for awhile then quickly closed my laptop.
"What to do, what to do.." I thought and thought.
Nothing.
My phone rang.
I picked up without looking at caller ID.
"Hello?"
"Demi?"
"Who's this?"
"You don't remember me? Gah, Demi it's been so long. It's me, Selena!"
"Selena,"
Tears slowly came down my cheeks, an I sniffled.
"How'd you get my number?"
"Joe gave it to me."
"Oh."
"Why are you guys talking via email instead of talking on the phone?"
I sighed.
"I told him I wasn't ready to hear his voice.. Selena, I haven't seen him in 7 years!"
"Woah, really?"
"Yes, really.. Anyway, Selena.. I-I'm gonna go to bed, It's like three in the morning here in California."
"Okay, tell me how your singing career goes!"
"Okay, bye Selena."
"Bye, Dems."

I jumped out of my computer chair and ran to my bed.
I sighed and thought of Joe.
His smile, his curly locks, the way his eyes sparkled in the moonlight.
I shook my head, got in bed, and went to sleep.

-THE NEXT MORNING-

My phone rang, but I didn't hear it.
I was sound asleep.. Until Bella woke me up.
I didn't check caller ID.
"Hello?" I said sleepily.
"Demi? Did I wake you? I'm sorry."
"Who's this?"
"Your bestfriend, duh."
"Selena?"
"UH! Pfft, no. Dems, do I sound like a girl?"
"Joe?" I answered excitedly and smiled.
"GOSH DEMI! Took you long enough."
"Sorry.. You called me while I WAS SLEEPING!" I yelled.
"Oh, I'm sorry Demi. Well, I just wanted to tell you that I'm here in California."
"You are?!"
"Like, oh em gee! Yes!" He laughed.
Boy, I missed him.
"But, where in Cali?"
"Uhm, hold on.."
I heard him talking to someone.
"Camilla, where are we?"
Who's Camilla? "OH, Demi we're in Los Angeles. You live in Toluca Lake, right?" (And, yes. Demi does live in Toluca Lake)
"Yeah."
"Okay then, I/ll see you later. Bye Demetria."
"Bye Joseph." I smiled.
I threw the covers off of me, got in the shower, and looked for something to wear.

I put the dress on and slipped on my black flats on.
I sat down in my living room and waited.

I heard a knock at my door.
It's him.. I know it's him.

I walked to my door and opened it.
Wow, he looked amazing.
"Joe?" I smiled.
"Hi Demi."
He gave me a bear hug.
"I missed you." I whipered.
"I missed you too."
He pulled away.
"Come in." I said.
He walked in.
As I was cloing the door, I felt something push it open.
"Oh, Demi. I want you to meet Camilla, m-my girlfriend."
He stuttered.
He only stuttered when he was nervous.
When I saw her, my smiled dropped.
She was gorgous.
Compared to me she was a 10 and I was a 1.
He gave her a quick peck on the lips.
"Nice to meet you." She said.
"Nice to meet you too.."
He knew I didn't like her.
He knew everything.
He looked away.
I had my "don't worry, it's okay. Don't feel sorry for me" look on my face.
But it wasn't okay.
It never was when he had a girlfriend.

I knew it, we could never be.
There could never be an "us".
