She wasn't naïve or stupid.
She can definatly hear the gossip and cruel remarks from the nobleman woman. All of them elegantly dress in beautiful expensive gowns made of silk and satin with their dark hair beautifully done expensive jewelry decorating their arms, neck and ears.
Most of time their comments being that she is "Tenebraean" and that she couldn't be trusted, although she knows a few nobleman believe the same thing.
But for the most part the single nobleman simply stares at her with lust in their eyes, and she knows quite well that they only think of her as some sort of breeding tool.
Although for the most part it was the females that were the most outspoken, always commenting on her clothing, and that she wasn't good enough for Noctis.
She knows quite well these women have thrown themselves at her fiance, and was probably still sore by his rejection. While a part of her actually wonders if they actually love Noctis as they claimed, or if it it's because of his position and good looks.
Yet she still couldn't help but to feel a bit selfconscious as she felt the glares on her form and the semi loud chatters among the noblewoman as she came into the ballroom with Noctis.
It almost seemed like room when quickly silent for a minute or two before the harsh whispers began. She can feel her fiance squeeze her hand lightly, and she silently knows that he wasn't necessary oblivious to the talk either.
"Ignore them," he whispers into her ear that she can feel his breath tickling her ear softly. She smiled lightly at her fiance's words, but none of the less nodded her head.
Besides it wasn't like she actually cared what the nobles thought of her, but it was more of the aspect that their still seems to be mistrust between her nation and his.
Even with her marriage to Noctis Lucius Caelum uniting the two kingdoms together in some form of peace treaty. Although she also knows that it would take time before people of both nations to not be prejudice against the other.
He smiled as he twirled around to the classical waltz like music, before smirking lightly "So do you think it would be the same when we visit Tenebrae?"
She cocks her head to the side for a moment. Almost as if she was imagining the scene in her mind for their upcoming trip to Tenebrae at the end of the week. She silently knows that they would be expected to go to some functions of some kind after the peace conferences.
"Probably, girls would still look at you like you're a piece of meat; prejudice will still be in the air. Am I missing anything?"
"Men starring you," he replies and she can almost hear the slight possessive jealous tone in his voice. Not like he has any reason to be jealous, she would never ever betray her husband in any sort of way. Much less give him any reason to be jealous.
"You don't have to worry about them," she replies her pink glossed lips curling into a soft smile. "You're the only one for me."
He smiles softly before dipping his head and gently press his lips softly against hers. "And you are the only for me."
"I'm glad," she replies. Her lips curling upwards as she smiled up at him. Perhaps a part of her is pleased feeling the jealous stares from females in the room.
Because as jealous as they may be.
Noctis would never be theirs.
Honestly if she can spend an eternity in her Noctis arms. She wouldn't mind being a victam to their jealous stares.
