A/N: Just a sweet story for the season. Enjoy :o)

Characters are not mine.

Castle bounced into the bullpen and smiled when he saw her standing at her desk. "Gooood Morning, Detective."

She shook her head. "You already said 'good morning' to me, or did you forget already?" She grabbed her folder and was heading towards the interrogation room. "Where have you been?"

"Outside."

"And what pray tell were you doing outside?"

"It's snowing."

"And….?

"You need to come to the park with me?"

"Castle, real job remember?"

"You can take a break, come on Beckett, its snowman snow."

"I'm sure there isn't enough snow for a snowman."

"There is, see you've been inside too long."

"I have a suspect in interrogation."

"Let Esposito and Ryan do it."

"They are busy looking into the vic's family…they are working, Castle. Are you coming with me?"

"No."

"You are seriously going to go out and play in the snow?"

"Yes."

"Um…Okay…I'll see you later?"

"Yes, yes you will." He turned, winked at her, then was gone.

She shook her head and was glad to have a suspect to interrogate. It was times like this that she seriously questioned her involvement with the writer.

It was almost 45 minutes later when she headed back to her desk, she stopped short when she got there. "Castle, what are you doin'?"

"What does it look like?"

"You made me a snowman?" There sitting on her desk in the bottom half of a Styrofoam take-out container was a snowman. She didn't know whether to laugh or cry. It was quite possibly the sweetest thing anyone had ever done for her, but at the same time, it was a snowman and it was on her desk in a room that was close to 70 degrees. She sat in his chair because he was in hers; and he was rummaging through her drawers.

"Now what are you doing?"

"Looking for your candy stash." He reached far into the back of her bottom left drawer and pulled out a bag of skittles and opened them up into the bowl on her desk and started adding them to the snowman for eyes and a mouth. He opened her middle drawer and pulled out the bag of runts and scanned the bag for a banana and used it for a nose. He opened the top right hand drawer and pulled out a fruit roll-up and opened it up and peeled it off and wrapped it around the snowman's neck. He reached into her purse sitting in the open bottom drawer and took out the bag of Twizzlers and used them for arms, then unwrapped a large Hershey bar and broke it in half and used it for a hat. "You know, I'm surprised you have any teeth left."

She sat there gobsmacked.

"Well, what do you think?"

Her voice was hoarse and low but she managed to squeak out "He's very sweet."

Castle smiled at her. "Oh….I almost forgot the most important part." He opened the Runts bag again and placed a pink heart on the left side of the snowman's chest. "Now he's perfect."

She was biting her bottom lip and smiling and shaking her head. She got up and reached behind him and pulled her jacket off the back of her chair and put it on, she grabbed her purse out of her drawer and looked at him and said, "Are you coming or not?"

"Where are we going?"

"We can't leave him in here, he'll melt. We need to get him home and into the freezer."

He grinned from ear to ear and closed all the drawers and carefully picked up the container and snowman. Kate linked her arm in his and they walked to the elevator.

"Castle."

"Yes, Beckett?"

"Thank you."

This could easily be another chapter in 'Sleeping Beauty', but I thought it would be a good stand alone too. Not sure where it came from….other than hanging out in the candy aisle at Wal-mart looking for candy cane kisses. More than likely it has something to do with the wine after supper ;o) Hugs.
