Altanis
I had been working towards this to find out if the myths and legends about Atlantis on Gaia were also connected to the Earth myths and legends.
I spent the past eight years completing my study and researching whatever I could. I spent three years studying in university and another two in Greece; I'm home again and spend most of my time in my apartment, the bedroom is the only room without books and maps or paintings. I took up painting after I got home, and all my painting are about Gaia and my memories there. I heard the front door open from my study room.
"Hitomi? Have you eaten?"
"Not yet Yukari" I replied to her while I was study some maps I had gotten a hold of maps with slight variations of one another, and comparing maps, with books out on Atlantis
"When did you last eat?" Yukari and Amano tended to drop by, I could forget to eat sometimes. I kept comparing the maps, Yukari coughed and I looked up she wasn't letting me off the hook. She was leaning on the door frame, I noticed she had a pale yellow long sleeve top, the sleeves were loose and had a small metal loop in the middle, on with a pair of black jeans and brown ankle boots; cute over all.
"Cute outfit, date?"
"You think so?" She had a smile on her face "Amano is taking me out for dinner." It was midday so she had another reason for being here dressed for her date. "Hitomi, when was the last time you ate?"
Damn oh well lasted when it did I went back to looking at the maps, and using the tools around me to try and pinpoint it close. "What are you hoping to gain from finding the city?" I stayed quiet she asked this at least once every two months; I just gave up trying to explain to her why I wanted to find it so bad. "Go on a date with a guy, get out more." At this I sighed and looked up again.
"What did you do Yukari?"
"Oh nothing really just set up a date for you in an hour."
"YUKARI!"
"You need to get out and enjoy life."
"I don't want to date Yukari."
"You're wasting your life. I'm doing this because I care."
"If you really cared then you'd respect my choice and stop setting up dates."
"Eight years ago, you were all about Amano then suddenly you told me to tell him how I feel about him; you pushed me, but then you quit track and reading your tarot cards. You became obsessed about Atlantis and the myths. What are you looking for? Why are you doing this to yourself?"
"Yukari; you wouldn't believe me for a second. My reasons behind this are my reasons that's all."
"Fine search for Atlantis; but try to find your man, and sitting at home or in a lab looking for a lost city."
"I am working my way to seeing him again."
"Hitomi, you're like a sister to me but what does any of this have to do with you dating a good guy."
"Yukari, Amano means everything to you right?"
"Yes and I just….."
"I already found the guy that means everything for me, but we were from different worlds and we made the choice of living in separate worlds. I'm more than ready to go back to his world and stayed."
"Then work your way into that world, but not like this finding Atlantis won't bring your prince charming back." Yukari left the room, I could hear her in the kitchen making food.
"King actually, and this is my only hope in finding out the truth and a way back." I looked up at a painting I did of Van hanging in the study, it was a memory I'll never forget him standing there with his wings out, that was the time he told me about his past. "I miss you Van. Wait for me I'll be there one day."
