"Who was that?" Sandra asked as Gerry's phone ringing had disturbed the beginning of their romantic night together.
"Hand, something to do with Caitlin she said." Gerry lied as he grabbed his car keys from the coffee table.
"Yeah right, she wants you back."
"Well what can I say, I'm just irresistible to women. Anyway she can't have me." He said as he leaned down to kiss her before leaving again.
"Brian Lane, UCOS." Brian answered the office phone.
"Something's up with Jack, he wants me to go and pick him up." Gerry said.
"Maybe the funeral was hard." Brian reasoned.
"No it was more than that, meet me at Jack's in an hour."
"Okay, I may be longer though, Esther's made me tea."
"What happened mate?" Gerry asked as Jack got into the car.
"I'm not sure yet, I think I've been set up."
"What do you mean?"
"Gerry let's wait until I'm home and Brian's there, I'm nearly 100% sure you told him and I don't fancy explaining twice."
"Fine, do you want the radio on?" Gerry asked.
"Will you sing?"
"If a song comes on that I know then probably."
"Then Radio 4 please."
"Coffee? Whiskey?" Gerry offered as his phone beeped at him once again.
"Whiskey please and just answer whoever's so desperate to talk to you." Jack replied as Gerry took his phone out of his pocket only to find a text from Sandra. Opening the message he saw a picture of Sandra's bed alongside the message 'Thought I'd remind you of what you're missing and who's bed you're supposed to be sleeping in.' Hitting reply he replied 'Oh don't I know it and I could never forget. Love you' before slipping his phone back into this pocket.
"A woman waiting?" Jack asked.
"Something like that. That'll be Brian." Gerry replied as the door bell rang.
"Yeah."
