A/N: Here's a short one-shot… it's kinda cruddy (at least I think so) and was written in about half an hour. Anyway… Enjoy!

Summary: Lily/James: James decides to tell Lily about being an Animagus, he's in for a huge surprise.

Doe- James/Lily- Pure Fluff

Lily, Meet me by the lake at midnight.

Now it was midnight and Lily was sitting on the ground by the lake, looking up at the night sky. The stars seemed to be shining extra brightly, like they knew something was going to happen.

"Hey, Lily" James called. Lily was distracted, so she didn't notice him coming towards her. When she looked up at his approaching figure, her breath caught and her heart pounded against her chest. She knew she was in love with him; she had been since 4th year.

"Hi, James" she replied, shyly. A faint blush colored her cheeks as she looked into his hazel eyes.

"I have something to tell you" he started. He clasped his hands behind his back and was looking at anything but her. 'He's nervous' she thought.

"Yea…" Lily replied.

"You know how we found out our Animagus forms today in class and how I knew mine before…"

"Yeaaa…"

"Well, I'm a…" he trailed off.

"What was that?" Lily asked. She tried to keep the amusement from showing on her face.

"I'm an Animagus" he practically shouted at her.

"I know" she replied, quietly.

"You have every right to be shocked and hate me and WHAT?!?!?"

"I know you're an Animagus" she said, matter-of-factly. She allowed a grin of amusement to grace her face when she saw his expression.

"How?" He asked, hands running through his wild hair.

"Remus told me"

"I'LL KILL HIM!" he shouted, then started heading towards the castle, mumbling about ways to kill his best friend. Lily grabbed his arm and held him back. He turned to snap at her, but stopped short as he looked into her emerald green eyes.

"James" she said.

"Yes, Lily my dear" he replied, still lost in her eyes.

"I'm an Animagus, too" she whispered.

"That's nice, wait… WHAT?"

"Yea, I'm an Animagus, too" she looked down at her shoes, a blush coloring her features that told James she was embarrassed.

"Lily, wow… what's your Animagus?" He asked, hopefully. Lily blushed even harder and looked away, while mumbling something.

"Lily?" James asked.

"Mine's a doe" she stated, proudly. James stared at her; his jaw dropped open and his eyes bugged out. His expression looked so comical that Lily had to giggle.

"Lily" he said after he finally calmed down. "Mine's a stag… we're soulmates" he looked at Lily, but she didn't answer; only nodded her head.

After a few moments of silence, she couldn't take it anymore. She looked up at him, mischief in her eyes, as she started leaning closer. She put her hands on either side of his face and pulled his lips down on hers in a fiery, passionate kiss.

To say James was shocked would be an understatement. He stood there, frozen, while the girl of his dreams was kissing him. Hoping he wasn't imagining it, he started kissing her back, fiercely. It was pure bliss for the both of them.

Up in the Gryffindor Common Room, more money was being passed around then ever in Hogwarts history. And in the middle of the chaos was a sandy-brown haired guy with a huge grin on his face.
