I don't own Chrono Cross.
A/N: well, not many people seem to read my 'main' Chrono Cross fic . so I'll write other fics in the meanwhile, waiting for the other 'big' idea to strike. Expect it to star either Glenn, or Orlha, or both. Or maybe Razzly. But… wait… o.o;;;
The meaning of Sisterhood
Soft, blond locks fell over closed eyes. Eyes that will never be opened again. Eyes that were the same as hers. The eyes she will never see. Ever. Again.
"Tia, open your eyes. Show me your smile. No, don't leave me! Tia…"
She gripped the blue gem as she stood on the docks on Guldove. What has she done wrong to anyone? What has she done to deserve such a fate?! To find her sister… only to lose her again?
"You know, sister, we're so much apart! It's like I'm the moon, you're the sun!"
The oldest remembered the younger saying.
"Never, sister! One day, night shall fall, and you shall shine on your own!"
They both smiled and embraced each other, never to meet again until that cursed day. True. They have promised. And she always felt her sister's presence near her. But she was a ghost. A shadow of who she once was.
The Gladiatrix wiped away her tears at the memory. She tried to embrace her sister, only to fall right through her into the water. She begged the ocean to devour her, to allow her the peaceful slumber her sister had received. She received none.
"Sister, we'll be more than siblings, right? We'll be best friends!"
Best friends. Humph! Best friends don't abandon each other, Tia! They don't leave each other after they found each other after so long! They just don't!
Her fist came again the post next to her, almost causing the wood to break. Why, of why?!
"We will always be together…"
True. But forever starts the day you die. And forever seemed an eternity away.
Each day carries with it unbearable pain.
And overwhelming joy.
The sunrise.
The knowledge the world is safe, thanks to her.
The feeling whenever she looked at the blue gem she now held to her chest, the gem which carried her sister's prayers. As well as her parents'.
And the pure bliss whenever he encircled her with his muscular arms.
"It's getting late. And rather chilly. We should head back now. I'd hate to see you catch a cold."
She looked at him, and back at the moon.
"Live, sister. For both of us…"
That was Tia's last wish.
And that was the code by which Orlha lived each day a new.
Raising her right arm, Orlha threw the gem as far away as she could. She knew the gem would return in the morning. It always did. And each day she'd throw it away again. For the day it won't come back, will be the day she'll end it all. Unless he'll stop her.
She felt his arms encircle her again and she smiled.
"Come on, let's go."
She smiled at the moon one last time. She was living. For the both of them.
A/N: written in the heat of the moment. O.o;;; I'll either rewrite it, or delete it. Review, tell me .
