The Change of Heart Story by: The Wonderful Snowflake!
One night, Nayoko, Joey, Tristan, Alyssa, Yugi, and Laurie decided to plop down in front of the TV to watch Change of Heart. (Sadly, for Laurie and Yugi, this was a weekly tradition.) "I could kill that no-good manicurist." Alyssa yelped. "What is it this time?" Tristan asked. He was used to this kinda ting from Alyssa. She was almost kinda like Mai. "That idiot put the wrong color of polish on my nails! I asked for Plum Sparkle, and she puts Violet Nights on my nails! How could anyone be so color blind?" Alyssa yelled, outraged. "Well, they look purple and sparkly to me, so wat's the big deal?" Joey said. Famous last words when it comes to Alyssa and her manicures. "The big deal is that the one I asked for has more red in it, but the one she put on my nails has more blue! I don't like blue that much, I like red better." Alyssa said as she reached for the jar of nail polish remover. "Oh my god! He moved date cam! She's really gonna let him have it." Laurie said, staring at Yugi, and then the TV. "Who cares about the stupid date cam?! I care about my nails! Hey Nayoko, could you pass me the Mango Sunrise?" Alyssa asked, looking up from her nail polish remover, only to look at Nayoko until she handed her the bottle of nail polish. *"You moved Date Cam! How could you move Date Cam?!"* the woman on the TV screamed. "Told ya." Laurie said, as she grinned at Yugi. "Joey, could you please move your Nayoko, she's blocking the TV?" Tristan asked genuinely. The only thing he could do to not incur the onward droning of Alyssa was to keep quiet, and watch the TV. "Alright. Commercial. Let's go get some popcorn, cuz this is just getting good." Yugi said. "Gotcha. Be back guys!" Laurie told everyone, as she and Yugi made their way to the kitchen. It was Laurie's turn to have to clean up after the make-out twins. (It was Laurie's turn to invite everyone over.) While everyone was chilling in Laurie's room, Yugi and Laurie were in the kitchen, making popcorn, and snagging Star Crunches. "Hey, ya wanna hang out down here for awhile?" Laurie asked. "Sure. I think I'm gonna go crazy if I hear Alyssa talk about her nails again." Yugi said. So, the two of them hung out in the kitchen, while they left the rest of their dysfunctional circle to kill Alyssa, cuz she kept complaining about EVERYTHING. (Well, at least it was only for one night.) "Hey, where'd Laurie and Yugi go?" Tristan asked suddenly. "I think they went down to the kitchen." Joey said, "I wish I'd thought of that." Nayoko sighed. "Well, I haven't heard of popcorn that takes 20 minutes to make, so somebody should go down there to make sure that they haven't been attacked by cockroaches or something." Alyssa said nonchalantly, while filing her nails. Nayoko turned stark white. "Um, Laurie doesn't have any cockroaches in her house, does she?" Nayoko asked, terrified. "Dunno. There might be a waterbug or two, but I don't think there are." Joey said simply. "Uh, I'll go check on Laurie and Yugi." Tristan said, as he jumped from his spot on the bed. He made sure to grab the flyswatter, and he walked the 10 steps to Laurie's kitchen. He turned on the light, only to find Laurie and Yugi making out in front of the microwave. "And I thought Joey and Nayoko were bad." Tristan said, shaking his head.
