Chapter 1
Len let out a happy giggle, it had been such a wonderful day. Master had taken him to the amusement park for some fun, so Len could take his mind off singing. He had been stumbling on his notes, singing in pitches higher than he should. It had made the young vocaloid frustrated, which is why Master thought it would be a good idea to have the vocaloid come outside for a change.
Len usually spent two hours with Master, the rest of the time he was forced to spend time with Admin. Which, in the blondes' opinion, was not an enjoyable experience. So, having Master for the whole day was indeed a treat. Usually, Master was busy taking care of his child or ex-wife. However, now that they were together, Len thought that nothing would break them apart; he was sure of it.
Len looked up to see Master smiling easily, his brown eyes looked over the park with a calm expression. It gave Len pause, generally, Master would always have something on his mind which caused a small worry line to appear between Masters eyebrows. Len would stare at it from time to time, wondering what it would feel like to smooth that crease away with his synthetic fingers. 'Something good must have happened to Master, he's never this happy... Maybe it was me!' Len thought. He peered at Master, whose smile had been growing larger.
"Master? Did something good happen today?" The blonde asked, his eyes sparkling with enthusiasm while he waited for his Master's response.
The man looked at the boy, a small smirk replacing the joyful smile from his lips.
"Well, aren't you perceptive today." Master replied, giving the boy a playful wink. Len blushed intensely, placing his hands on his cheeks to try and calm himself down. Len let out a shy smile before grinning at his Master. Maybe this was the time to doing something spontaneous, so with all the courage Len could summon he went to grab his Masters hand; when his cold fingers wrapped around the soft skin of his Masters, he concluded that this was the best day ever.
"Do you remember Amber?" Master continued.
Len could feel a pit forming in his stomach, of course he remembered Amber. Len blinked, and thought for a moment on how he should answer that.
"Umm, your ex-wife?"
"Yes, she wants to talk to me. Said that what she did was wrong. We might get back together." He grinned.
Len paused, looking at the ground. The blonde could feel the pit growing larger, he felt sick. Len knew nothing would come up, the perks of being a robot, but he couldn't shake the intense emotions that were burning inside of him.
"Oh. That's great! She was... an interesting lady." The boy mumbled, he absolutely hated that Amber. Whenever she was around, Master treated him differently, and he always wanted Len to sing for that woman. Len didn't like to admit it but, he was glad that woman left Master for someone else. Master was so naïve and easily won over… Len didn't know how to feel about Amber coming back into their lives. Now that he thought about it, the only connection he could have with Master... was a singing relationship. Len shuddered at the new discovery and looked at Master, who was still speaking.
"I wonder if Admin will mind, he would have to give up his room now… it's not like he's my son though. Oh, and you Len; you shouldn't worry either, you will love how much my son has learned to sing. He admires you a lot, kiddo." Len's eyes widened, he dropped Masters hand and moved away from his creator. He tried to create as much distance as possible between the two, he couldn't even stand looking at the man he cared for.
"You're horrible! How can you say we're not your sons! Admin loves you! I lo-" A burst of tears cut his words short. Len didn't understand what was happening, he felt a strong heaviness in his chest and all the vocaloid wanted to do was run away. So, he did, the young boy spun away from Master and started running deeper into the crowded amusement park. Master was bewildered, he hadn't meant to upset Len. The older male ran after Len calling out for him. "Len! Len!"
Their once peaceful outing turned into a chaotic evening. The nineteen-year-old male cried, sobs erupted from his chest as he pushed and shoved his way through the crowd. His tears blurred his vision, making it difficult to see. All he knew was that he had to get away from him, from the man who seemed to not care for him.
Meanwhile, Master was frantically trying to reach Len. He could see the boy running ahead of him. "Len!" The man exclaimed, worry etched deeply into his face. He didn't mean to say such things to his creation, he was ready to take the boy in his arms and apologize to his treasure.
"Len. I-" Master stopped abruptly, a small female grasped his arm. He looked at the girl curiously, his eyes looking over the girl quickly before dismissing her. Master turned his attention towards the last spot he saw Len, cursing to himself silently when he saw the blonde run around the corner. Master looked back at the girl, who was still grasping his arm. She looked up with a small smile and pulled the man closer. Master struggled to get away from her grip but nothing was going to loosen this girls grasp.
"Let go, I don't have time for this." Master replied, annoyance clear in his voice. He looked at the girl once again and shuddered as he noticed something that he hadn't noticed before. The young girl's eyes were of crimson colored; her hair had been covering them before but now that she looked up at Master he could see them clearly - a chill went down his spine as he gazed into them.
"Damien. If you want your Vocaloid to live. I suggest you come with us." A faint whisper came from behind, Master stiffened at the use of his name. The voice chuckled, it's hand caressing Masters cheek. In the crowd, this might have seemed to be just an affectionate touch between lovers. But this, this was pure terror that Master was experiencing. 'Tch, I don't have much of a choice.' Master sighed. He reluctantly nodded his head, showing he was giving in. The voice came back towards his ear, their lips touched Masters earlobe which made him shudder. The voice sounded pleased with Masters decision.
"Wise choice Damien. Not surprising for someone of your talent." Master stood there silently, contemplating on what to say next. He couldn't think rationally anymore; fear had consumed his mind. This person knew him, and they knew his past. Turning his head around he saw those red eyes again. Master gasped, his heart drummed against his rib cage and he realized that his past had come back to haunt him.
